Did we talk about Howard just deciding not to be the head coach on Sunday, and "honor" Martelli by letting him be the head coach in his return to philly...Howard was in the building, but not actively coaching either. One of the most bizarre moves I have seen in a long time...and THEY LOST! Your team has lost 8 of the last 10 and you just say...nah I'm not coaching today. I know he has been recovering, but he resumed coaching in December, so this decision wasn't related to that.

Agreed. If we are going to do that, toss the fouls on someone that we can afford picking them up. We weren’t sniffing foul trouble until that sequence.

I guess I’d rather not give up the unnecessary fouls and live with them making a bucket there. I can see where it makes sense in an end of game situation, but hard to justify the fouls at the end of the first half imo, especially if your starters are the ones fouling. Hope those don’t come back to bite us…

I’m a simple man, need some help. I don’t understand the strategy to intentionally foul there in the first half, when OSU has timeouts and can just draw up a play in the huddle? What advantage does that give us, that warrants letting a starter pick up a foul intentionally?

Fouling them to disrupt their offensive set, when they have timeouts to use and can just draw up another play in the huddle is really really dumb IMO.

I texted a buddy about Gunn coming in and he immediately had the and 1 dunk. I know this feeling haha.

What is the ultimate pull for Harbaugh to the NFL? Highest level of the sport, pay, no recruiting and an off-season?

It appears that way...but I guess what can you do when you have constructed a roster with limited guards and zero players that can shoot it from the outside with any consistency. The announcers last night mentioned that Woody and Hoiberg were the two coaches in the Big Ten bringing the "NBA Style" offenses to the league...our NBA style just happens to be from 1980.

Even good teams lose games...it happens, its college basketball. This isn't what bothers me. What bothers me is everything most have hit on in this thread...there are glaring issues that every joe bob fan from Evansville to Gary to Ft. Wayne can see, and it's not improving or getting addressed. Heck, in a lot of areas it's getting or gotten worse. This staff hasn't shown the ability to construct a roster that fits their "style of play" (whatever that is), and refuses to adjust to meet the actual ability of their players. And what really concerns me, is that we seem to be in love and all in on every 5 star recruit, but keep swinging and missing. If Nebraska can go to the lower level and find a kid from Japan to hang 25+ points on us, this staff should be able to find solid BASKETBALL players that can help us win games. I don't care about freaking stars, I don't care about the supposed "athletic ability" or "upside"...I want kids that can play the game, regardless of what state, AAU team or watchlist they are or are not on. Woody needs start fixing it this year, have it corrected by next year, or move on....How many more years of mediocrity can be shielded by our aging Blue Blood status...I fear not many. Anddddd....I'm done (off the ledge, had to get it off my chest haha)

Will be interested to see how Nebraska fares the rest of the season. But No pushback here on IU not being good. The roster is flawed, we are what we are.

Tonight was really disappointing and embarrassing. Hadn’t lost to Nebraska since 2017…and this isn’t even a good Nebraska team…just unacceptable. We are what we are…
