Curious about this as well... Assuming that him and Dolson had a very frank conversation, and Cig's vision included improving several areas Indiana is lacking or has lacked in the past (NIL, Recruiting Budget, etc...). If Cig was Dolson's guy, and he clearly laid out his vision and plan, it could be as simple as IU is coming to the table and committing to the entirety of that plan, and not limiting ourselves in areas we can control to win games, be successful and not simply limp into bowl games here and there.

I get it…Bell’s word means nothing to most on this board, which is why I included that in my post haha. Truly don’t think it mattered who started, his play calling was horrendous, deserved to be fired. With that said, none of us were in the room with him and Allen when that decision was made, and we will never know who’s call that was, but I don’t believe Bell had 100% say in that choice. There was a lot at play for why I think Jackson started, but not going to beat that horse again.

I had heard a rumor heading into Purdue game week that Allen was done after yesterday, and that Gruden was the guy. One of those things happened, but I took the second thing for what it was…a rumor. Interesting to hear his name is being pushed, but still would be very surprised if not shocked, if we went that route.

I don’t follow college football outside of the big ten as much as others….who on that list can excite these young kids to help him recruit and hit the portal successfully immediately? I feel like we need to make a splash and get people excited about, and attention on the program right away. Who can give us a Deion like buzz?

We all saw the same thing which is funny...how are the coaches not seeing it haha. I commented about this as soon as I saw it. It was a much more natural shot...elevated normally, form was perfect and it hit the bottom of the net. You could see him visually shake his head...thinking "of course that one goes in". Honestly, the max vertical jump on his shots is hindering him by itself, but then he adds a fade away to every shot and it just compounds. If he would elevate normally and go up vertically, more would drop. Need a shot doctor on this team...get in the gym with Hulls. CJ Gunn has the tools to be a big contributor for us. He played well defensively...and if he hits a couple of those open shots, we are having a much different conversation about him. I really would like to see him start in front of Mgbako today, to be active with his hands, cause some disruption and hopefully bang a couple jumpers.
