Shoutout to Jones. Would have been easy for him to disappear after that interception. But he did a great job of blocking without holding on Paige's first catch, then making his own catch and run

Nate and his wideouts had some incredible rhythm  on that possession. 

So a pretty bad Iowa State team kind of  making it a game against Baylor. But hey, Baylor's coach probably still thinks beating some of the worst teams in the nation makes his team amazing.... it doesn't. Actually go play someone

Wasn't pointless. Point is people can talk about a leap all they want, it hasn't happened.    I even like Wilson, but if there was going to be a leap in the defensive performance then it would have happened by now. Plus, people aren't really talking about it, but his recruiting is kind of going downhill. Like we're competing with Purdue for the worst recruiting class as of 2016 right now. He had his big recruiting class, which was defensive based and it still hasn't really shown a leap on the field.    Edit: Also, my bad I read your first comment as "I believe we'll see a big step up by the end of next season", instead of the " By the end of next year there better be results". Just saying it might be in our best interest to actually look for a defensive minded coach. 

Isn't this the exact same argument people made last season at this time..... *hint* yes it is/was

To your last point. It gets to next levels of annoyance when certain posters never post when things are going well. It seems like they are just sitting waiting for something to go wrong so they can gripe about it. I'd don't care if your critical, but when your entire shtick is throwing out cynical one liners, that isn't really being critical. Also, it is funny when people come out with the "well I'm done with this team", then they find themselves commenting on the game the next week

We could always hire a defensive minded coach..... rather than acting like it is impossible to have a good defense. 

Eh, only their biggest idiots would go that far. Most people realize how good they were last season, at least defensively.

LSU kind of got screwed. The Florida CB never turned around on the fade pass and had his hands all over the LSU WR........ guess it doesn't matter, Les Miles has much bigger balls than any coach in America
