  1. The board is really up in arms over a candidate that i don't think, along with wade, that iu even makes it down the list to. I would think beard would be at the end of the list, when they have whiffed on absolutely everybody else.
  2. Should probably get that sacrificial goat on deck....
  3. Could we possibly compromise and tell Woodson that he couldn't go 28-2 at mcneese st and hope he goes there to prove us all wrong? Then we could hire a coach that doesn't completely suck as a coach
  4. I would have to assume IU would be ok paying for either one currently lol
  5. You didn't find Steven's masshole interview to be just even a little suspicious the last go around? If he hadn't talked to IU why would he talk up the IU job, and then pull a complete 180? This is just my opinion, but there has to be at least a little smoke, and I have to think that they have called him, and AD in the state of Indiana may have called him. Why wouldn't they?
  6. It doesn't matter. I don't know about other posters on this board, but I find myself asking would I rather have a coach that is mentioned here as a replacement or Woodson back. The other coach has won every time. It doesn't even matter which coach was mentioned.
  7. The only thing not top ten about the indiana job is the results. Other programs fire their coaches before the 4 years is up
  8. To get dusty may to leave Michigan it is going to take more than 5 million. Up and comers like Calhoun and mccollum may get paid less but that is still close to a top 15 salary. If they are going for the white whales probably in the 7-10 million range. IU may not have top ten results but that is definitely nearing top ten pay. I would have to guess the NIL fund is also top
  9. Yep. So if IU was to pay a coach 10 million a year, unless bill self got a huge raise in between march 24 and now, that would make the IU coach the highest paid in college basketball. Other coaches may get less but that seems like top ten job money
  10. So if you look at highest paid college coaches in 24, unless they have the facts wrong, mike Woodson is #13 highest paid college coach on that list. I don't know what it shows after bonuses etc.
  11. Added bonus: IU has somebody on the bench that can psych out coop!
  12. Absolutely not. Somehow, we have opinions that IU is going to disregard their "optics" to hire people like beard or wade, when this administration won't even disregard their optics to fire Woodson. It's laughable and sad at the same time
  13. I didn't have let's look at will wade as a realistic candidate for the last 15 pages on my fire Woodson bingo card. Would he do well? Probably. Would IU hire him? Nope
  14. It was a bad decision if it was just Woodson and that was definitely the case when he was hired on this board. The part where a lot thought the idea was a lot better is when everybody thought that Woodson was going to be helped by Dane Fife and Thad Matta. It is a shame that didn't stay the case
  15. As stuhoo likes to say, it doesn't matter who we don't get, it matters who we get. And they left an open scholarship instead of grabbing a needed guard, who would have made them better than they were. IU would have been a lot better with xj on the floor all year, but guess what? He got injured. It happens. And Woodson didn't have a backup plan. He didn't prepare for all of the alternatives. It doesn't matter the stories of all of the other recruits who didn't show up. He needed an extra spot filled in case of injury and he failed
  16. The hope that I have in all of this is that dusty may covets the IU job enough to wait around a year. If he goes to Ohio state, he will stomp our ***** for the next decade
  17. So there is a new poster that may or may not be a trustee, while the poster that told us not to criticize or wait to pass judgment is nowhere to be found Is it really a new poster, or is it the same poster under a different name? Stay tuned. Same bat time, same bat channel
  18. Mama said waiting until the off-season to pass judgment is the devil...
  19. No. You didn't run for sheriff. Geez. Get with the program here
  20. If you use the kenny powers catchphrase after you are elected, then I am all in
  21. Damn. Now I have to run against you for the last season of game of thrones
  22. I'm fairly sure every single one of these posters have bought a ticket to a game, so they have helped boost the share of the athletic department one way or the other. In that sense, that gives them the right to complain. I'm not talking about IU like a stock, merely saying anyone who buys a ticket and is a fan should be allowed to complain. Also, the voting thing might hold water in other states but this is indiana. They could roll out a ventriloquist dummy and they would get voted in if they were republican. The only year a Democrat won the popular vote in Indiana was Obama over McCain. But alas, I'm not getting into the political aspect. For the record, I think Woodson should go based on his age and I think the timing could be more right this year then it might be in future years but just an opinion. I don't necessarily like how the team performs with him as coach, after 3 years of sample size. I do have the right to say that, whether I went to IU or did or didn't run for the BOT or not.
  23. A Stevens (you have to call again, just to see how big a mass hole he truly is) B Oats C Pearl D May Just a guess
  24. I know the fix, guys. I will bet on indiana every game for the rest of the season. This is a fool proof plan, they are guaranteed to lose every game now
  25. Yeah I always enjoyed it. Good rims, pretty forgiving. Maybe we can send the IU players there it might boost their confidence some
