Good @$$ fight from the Hoosiers today. Obviously shouldn’t have gone down 35-7 and got a little unlucky which led to that score after HT, but these guys didn’t ******* quit. Completely agree, but that has been the case nearly every year in the history of the sport. IU teams have played the Buckeyes close with Zander Diamont playing QB and a gimmick offense with an absolutely atrocious defense. This is the best Hoosier team Ohio State has seen in years and there’s no reason why IU shouldn’t play them more competitive than we have in years past. It will be a game in the fourth. Thought I hadn’t really had yet: Saturday’s game is almost an equivalent of an elite 8 game in basketball. Obviously we’ve got a lot more games on the schedule, but if we win Saturday, we’ve got a legitimate, and as good a case as any, to make the playoff. Obviously the Hoosiers are the David against Goliath still, but I don’t think many of us have put into perspective how close we really are from the College Football Playoff. Penix has a great off-field talent for answering media questions in coach-speak. I still think he’ll come out confident and firing against the Buckeyes and it will be fun to see the results of his immense talent versus a stout Buckeye secondary. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I think Penix has been playing great and facilitating a lot of good things on offense; however, lately he’s had a major issue making throws off his back foot and relying on arm strength. He made the mistake at least twice against Michigan and got away with it (I think) and was punished with an interception against MSU after launching another poor throw off his back foot. If this is an issue I’ve been able to recognize and grow frustrated with, I think Coach Sheridan will have him locked in this week. Couple that offensive improvement this week with an already stout defense and I see no reason why these guys can’t run with the Bucks. Will be exciting either way!
