Hopefully he just misses the state of Indiana so much he can't stand it.

Agreed he is definitely their best offensive player. I was just thinking he would have exceptional night since he is playing IU in an all Indiana tournament. It just seems to go that way with the Indiana kids that play us. He has had 2-20 pt 1-21 pt and a 27-pt game against St Francis-PA. My guess would be he would be closer to the 27 pt performance than the 20 pt or 17.8 he averages against us. I have also predicted this to happen with Jaquan Lyle when we play OSU, but he has not been tearing it up too much here lately. Both the Matt's have a double digit performance respectively against IL & Iowa. So you could be on to something there too. Another Indiana boy is the Beachem kid, he average about 30 min a game though.

My guess is Jackson. Indiana kid playing in an all Hoosier tourney. Will be guarded by JBJ alot. Good recipe for large numbers.

Brother in law already talking ****. I really do not like Purdue. [attachment=3090:pic01515 (2).bmp]

Tom Crean to Wisconsin?
-
Will be attending. I have two brother in laws that live in Indy, so it is always a good weekend regardless of outcome. One Bro-in-law is a PU fan though so a IU loss and a PU win could make for a very long and drunk weekend.

Wojo putting it to Wisky in Madison. Just imagine what he would do with our roster?

IU All-Star Line Up (Only During Your Time)
Uwe Robb replied to JaybobHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Born in 81' so give me the Starting 5 from 1992-1993 season. Calbert - Evansville G Graham - Indy M Nover - Chesterton A Henderson - Indy D Bailey - Bedford C Reynolds - Peoria J Meeks - 91-92 - Freeport E Anderson - 91-92 - Chicago AJ Guyton - Peoria Not the best players but one of my favorites from the 02' team T Coverdale - Noblesville Edit: Is it weird that all of my favorites are from the State of Indiana or a very short drive from Indiana? -
I keep saying his name because I have some personal experience with him, but I know he will never even get a look at IU. Still I will say his name and hope somebody gives me some props one day when he does take over a big time program. *Ray Harper* Great Coach. 2 - NAIA National Championships and another Runner-up in only 3 years as a NAIA coach. 2 - D2 National Championships 4 - D2 Natinoal Runner-up accomplished these 6 Championship game appearances in 9 seasons as a D2 coach 2 - Tournament appearances w/ 7 point loss to #1 Kansas in 2013 3 - 20+ wins every year he has been in D1. Again, I know that this will never happen, but look at his current team. They are 4-4 and the team is very mediocre. Revisit this post at the end of the season and tell me if their team got better or worse by March.

I believe he is saying that the players were factoring in their Net pay after taxes since Ohio's state tax is 5.25% and FL does not have a state tax. There is a little wiggle room. Now with that said, for that 5.25% to make a difference it would only affect the 41 home games and any other games played in TX, TN, FL or AZ I think (other states with 0% state tax? On a $25 million annual salary you are looking at well under $1 million in savings for going to a tax free income state. So the gap between the Max contract and the contract that these players took would have to be within $1.5 million per year just to break even. Also could factor in cost of living and property taxes and the Ohio contract would still probably look better. I could argue endorsements are better in the Miami area than the Akron area, but I think Lebron is pretty widespread nationally. He could probably sell sneakers and sprite from down here in Evansville, IN. (This tax break was talked about at nauseam with Dwight Howard when he was supposed to resign with Lakers and went to Houston instead. While CA tax rate is even higher 6.5% I still don't think it is that huge of difference in their take home pay to not go ahead and ask for a Max contract.)

Indiana vs Morehead State Game Thread

What's the attendance like? -
@Aloha Yes, that Wojo move was one of the best thing's I've heard in awhile. If I am correct they have played pretty well since also.
-
Appreciate Aloha taking up for me. I have thick skin though. He has the right to his opinion, we just disagree. Maybe Brad Stevens will let our players wear Pink and Yellow tie dyed shoes if he gets the job? Boosters will love that.
-
@KingPG21 I don't think that specific action should equate to charges. That would be crazy. I am saying I could see how a coach that doesn't care about details like this could get to the point where he doesn't have control over his team in other areas as well. I am also a Manager of Union employees. So I am very used to having to control details how ever small they be. Sometimes if you give a person an inch they want to take a mile.
-
Agree to disagree.
-
Didn't see any Gtown players wearing any Pink or Yellow shoes.
-
Just a random thought. When I was in High School our Seniors chose 1 style of shoes for the entire team to wear. We looked like a team out there wearing the same shoes same socks. If anyone is watching this SU/Gtown game look at the 5 players on the floor for Syracuse. Five different pairs and possibly 5 different colors of shoes. Hell one guys is wearing pink I think? I know that kids nowadays like the swag and gear but to me this looks selfish. Just goes to show why JB was cited for lack of institutional control. He can't even get his players to wear the right color shoe how is he suppose to get them to follow actual rules?

Watched his signing live in the Internet and I could have swore Boo was there. I could very easily be wrong though.

New Coach Salary And Criteria...$5 million?
Uwe Robb replied to Feathery's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Totally agree with you on this part. -
Hate to label a kid I have never seen play but isn't De'ron Davis a Boo disciple as well? Are we looking at another TW with him?

New Coach Salary And Criteria...$5 million?
Uwe Robb replied to Feathery's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Perfectly fine for you to have an opinion, I gave you mine. The way you worded it in your initial post was that it was fact. As for your question why would he leave what he has in Boston? Besides the reason you already gave. That and being closer to family would be the two big ones. I can also think of about 500,000 to 1,000,000 more. Not sure what anyone's financial situation is on this board but I don't know many that wouldn't talk to someone about a new position if it involved a $500,000 to $1,000,000 raise annually (those numbers are probably on the low side). Also I have heard people reference what he has going in Boston. I have all the faith in the world in BS, but he missed playoffs first year made the playoffs in 2nd year with 40-42 record. Kind of by default since 8 teams had to make it in a horrible Eastern conference. This year he is off to an 11-8 start I believe? Again, not saying he can't do wonders, but it's not like he is on a 10 year playoff streak or trying to defend his World Championship title. If he left Butler after 2 NC appearances then I'm pretty sure he can leave Boston after 3 mediocre years. A side note, Boston has Kevin McHale on staff now. One of Danny Ainge's best friends and I am not 100% sure if McHale was available at the time of the BS hire that McHale wouldn't have gotten the job over him. Just one of the pieces that might help the puzzle. Again, all of this is just my opinion, theory and a little bit of wishful thinking. What are your thoughts? Who would be on your short list? -
New Coach Salary And Criteria...$5 million?

I don't know? Apparently you do. So tell me who your sources are? Are you a close personal friend of Brad? I would say he is as good an option as anyone. Maybe I am very naive. -

We know Stevens is staying in Boston? Who are your sources? -
I would argue that we lose almost all the road games and will throw in a stinker or two at home where we don't shoot well and therefore lose by double digits to a team we should beat by double digits.
