Brad Stevens has a young, good nba team that has tremendous upside AND top picks in the draft for the next few years through trades AND the team is one of the most historic basketball franchises in the world. 

Then realistically who?

Do you honestly think the way IU gets there is by hiring a guy who has had success in the Horizon league?

You are right. Groce and Crean have had NCAA tournament success (granted not as much as we would like) where Drew has had success in the Horizon league.

They also beat MSU last week. While it is a down year, they aren't Moorehead State.

Dakich talked about it briefly with Doyle on the show today. What I heard (tail end of it), basically he said that the kid is in the B1G. You got to know that was going to happen no matter where you are.

Also, besides Iowa, lots of the top teams in the B1G have dropped games against inferior opponents. Some of these games are games that IU would have dropped in years past

Lots of people have class at 7:00 on Tuesdays, too. As a former student, whole heartedly agree with how the Athletic department messed up the seating arrangement.

I just looked it up (Holiday weeks at work are the best) and Zeller went a respectable 13/16 for an average of 12.3 ppg in teh 2011-2012 season.

I am pretty excited that IU plays three times the next three days. I was reading up on some things on Inside the Hall and it was brought to my attention that TB has yet to miss a 2 point field goal attempt. Here are his stats for the year.   MIN 22.3 FGM/FGA 5.3-6.7 FG% .800 3PM/3PA0.3-1.7 3P% .200 FTM/FTA 2.0-3.0 FT% .667 REB 7.3 AST 1.0 BLK 1.7 STL 0.3 PF 2.3 TO 1.0 PTS 13.0   How amazing is that? His production plus the energy he brings to the floor, TB could prove to be VERY special. Season is still young and his freshman will probably show at least a couple times this season, but Gym Lion can straight up ball.

I am really excited to see the great larry bird experiment play out, good or bad. If pacers do well, that is awesome. If they do poorly, they get a lottery pick and at least have an identity to build off of for the future.
