I saw OG (with agent) and Blackmon (without) ... any chatter about Bryant?     Not to beat a dead horse here...but is there a consensus to the question of "did IU turn down Steve or did Steve turn down IU?" I received some info yesterday that led me to believe Alford turned us down .... but I haven't read through all the pages on this thread since the Archie hire to see if that was discussed ...     With the Donovan rumors dying, as well as UCLA's season... Here's my proposal ... Figure out who UCLA would hire if we hired Alford. Then we go after that guy instead. I hope to God we don't wake up in 2 days to a Steve Alford presser.

    It would most likely result in a no but ... hey ... why not MAKE him say no to that deal? if he says no, you've done what you can do .... no interview needed there ... just a HUUGE contract offer .... it doesnt hurt ....
