JMV said it best when talking about Romeo to IU and his announcement --- he said something to the effect of "Yeah, Romeo is going to pack 4100 IU fans into his home gym and say ... hey guys, I'm going to the place with the benches under the basket"

I saw that too -- what a ridiculous comparison. LeBron, in a Boys and Girls Club, just him and the journalist vs. Romeo in his high school gym with 4100 IU fans .... yeah, dont' put any stock into that .... JMV & Dakich both talked about this yesterday .... both agreed how RIDICULOUS it would be for Romeo to pack that gym full of IU fans and say "yeah I'm going to Vandy, thanks for coming!" ....

I heard this somewhere as well ... and I couldn't help but think of Albers last year when he kept reporting that Billy Donovan was in Bloomington "I realize he was at practice, but I'm telling you he was in Bloomington today" was his quote ..... he's taken so much crap for that, you'd think he'd reveal the source that told him that .... unless of course, he completely made up the whole thing! which, i guess is a possibility!

I wondered the same thing .... though they did say the tape cut off right after he took his hand off his throat. I wondered if he went back at him ....or was Neil's mind just playing games with him? I don't know but he definitely looked confused as to why he was remembering it differently ..... he didn't look like a kid who was caught up in a lie ... or even stretching the truth ..

I agree it was pretty one sided .... and Bobby was a great coach ... However, it's hard to not see the "machine" that was in place to protect Bobby at all costs. I walked away from it feeling pretty bad for Neil Reed. Here's a kid that idolized Indiana basketball and after the hand around the throat incident (and others), he flat out says to Coach Knight "Indiana isn't what it used to be" and walks out of the room ... that's ballsy! But it's disappointing that his love for IU and Knight was ruined because of all of this
