Hey on the bright side, the board is much more fun and active when we are anticipating a commitment. Things get boring around here when we aren't going after any players or trying to fire coaches.

I’m really confused by your takes. You laugh at everyone who is excited about this “portal haul” yet you have the highest expectations of anyone? and don’t give me this, I want to be the best crap, it’s nonsense. You are telling us you’re here to temper expectations, yet also saying we should be better than we have been in 25 years. so why are you speaking out of both sides of your mouth? Or do you not realize you are doing that?

I have enjoyed these two putting out videos about the portal, and the big ten in particular. One is a Michigan fan who fears Dusty will leave Michigan for IU one day. The other is a MSU fan who is tired of Izzo. I shared this video because it is about Luke Goode, but the joke near the end about Woody was pretty funny, especially for you dumpers :)

Also, kids are going to bet on themselves. As they should. They believe if they get the opportunity to start/play a ton they will produce and make themselves a lot more money in the long run professionally (NBA or overseas). That makes more sense than taking a bigger paycheck to sit the bench.

Did you expect us to have a chance after Ballo committed? Not sure that was likely to happen given the market for Payne.

We are all seeking results, but you can't win games in the offseason. So, what results are you expecting currently? Most who are "optimistic" are simply enjoying the roster overhaul. Of course there are a few extreme pumpers and extreme dumpers on both ends of the spectrum. I have seen a large majority excited about the additions, but guarded about what it means for next year (me included). Not sure what else you are looking for at this point.

Just for fun, Bart Torvik's 2025 rankings are up . You have to click on Funalytics at the top to get to it. IU is currently at 20 with the roster additions. I think that is pretty reasonable. What is funny though is MSU is at 18, and their best player currently is Jaden Akins. The rest are a bunch of former top 75 guys who haven't done squat in college. I have no idea how that roster equates to 18, even with last year acting as a base.

Stop losing to Penn State, Northwestern, Rutgers, and Nebraska. 1-7 this year against those programs was unacceptable. I know Nebraska and Northwestern were NCAA teams, but going 0-3 against them and not being competitive is down right BS.
