He sure got better (offensively) this year so you are right. He does still make so many dumb fouls and his D is not great but no reason to think he can’t improve some more

Honestly we do not have enough information to provide a guess. There was supposedly a meeting between Dolson and the players and it was suggested that we would have many players deciding to leave IF Woody stayed. If that is true (guess we will find out soon) then that makes keeping him very questionable. However, if MM’s mom is wanting Woody to stay he seems to be one of the most important pieces. We were reportedly in contact with some coaching candidates. If so, were they interested, using us for a raise or lukewarm? Who will we add to the roster for next year. When the story was we would have a lot of transfers, some graduates and maybe an NBA entrant we would have had to be heavy in the portal. Who would want to come if most of our players chose to leave? Well, if most stay and we have more NIL $ then maybe the staff can legitimately add enough pieces to be strong next year. Does Dolson have a long term plan that works better next year? Is there a coach that would be his top target but cannot come till next year? Either due to more time prove himself, family reasons, buyout $. There was a lot of “information” shared on this board and I don’t think any of those who shared did so with ill intent but it just seems there was so much more happening that created the opportunity for him to return. What info do we think we can trust to answer your question? Was QB working against SD or in tandem? as KathyC suggested maybe the treatment of Woody was a bigger part in all this. Maybe the additional NIL $ allows him and the staff to improve the squad AND retire next year leaving the program better than he found it. Too many Ifs and maybes to really know

Wonder if they will add someone officially later but set up some sort of arrangement where they can aggressive contact kids when an official staff member could not.

Have read on here a lot that Trey, MM, Cupps possibly MR. We likely lose Ware, Leal and X so not counting them as mass exodus candidates but guys that have been rumored to have tuned out the staff.

So if we don’t see the mass exodus of players in the offseason either then probably safe to declare sources to be unsourced.

I still think Drew can be in play. I have been to games at Baylor when they were playing against another top 20 team on ESPN and you would think it would be packed. But right before tip the announcer made some Announcement and everyone siting up high moved down to the lower bowl. Place was probably 1/2 full overall for a nice medium sized arena.

Just now getting a chance to watch. Once again the coaches (HC and assistants) have been much more active the last few games. Frequently up and a step on the court encouraging/coaching. Would have been easy to pack this one in when they got down 18 but coming back on the road suggests that maybe the coach has not lost the team as was suggested. As Demo said in the other thread it would be great to see this year end on a positive note and still land a sure fire new coach.
