Maryland's arena is empty...

I was really wanting to see how Holt developed over the summer. From reports he vastly improved his outside shot. I'm hoping to see DD develop into a scorer from down low that can hit the open three while defending and rebounding in the post.

The DD pickup is huge for many reasons. It gives us a bigger and more traditional front court if TB stays for his sophomore year. OG and JM should be solid backups for that front court with Colin bringing experience and shooting off the bench. It also allows OG or Colin to play on the wing and provide a much taller and bigger lineup that could punish teams on the boards. In recruiting, it shows recruits like Alkins and Brown, or some other guard we don't know about yet, that they will have a front court that can compete with most in the country. If we add BB or RA or keep JBJ that is a solid top 25 team. Assuming TB and DD are not one and dones and we don't see any transfers from players like RoJo, OG, or JM we could finally see some consistency we haven't seen with Crean at the helm. Edit: add CuJo to that list as well

Weird...

#4 (?) was drilling 3s to open the second half with both Bryant and Bielfeldt in the game. Liked seeing RoJo and JBJ get up into their man a few times but JBJ seems to have lost some lateral quickness.

Weird how is coach was saying IU was out in front and IU should be excited before his visit to MSU...

I would put Suds as part of the good. How many receivers just dropped the ball? How many more yards would he have had, better completion %, and likely another TD or two.

Defense played well enough to win, Howard ran well, and Suds gave the receivers catchable balls. The receivers have been turrible.

Think CKW slowed it down a little bit to burnout the D before the 4th? Hopefully it works out.

If the receiver makes a catch he gets hit in the shoulder/ribs, no penalty. You expect players to make bang bang plays but you screw up plays you get to review... What?!

IU - 42 Others - 38

Ditto for JBJ. JBJ has to play better D this year if we want to win the B1G or make it past the Sweet 16. He seemed to get beat quite often against uOttawa.

Yogi, this team lacks leadership and Yogi has to step up. The pieces are in place for this team to achieve success we haven't had at IU for awhile. However, if Yogi can't step up as a leader on the court we won't reach those goals. Demanding teammates to play defense, as well as defending at a high level himself. Focusing the team when they're down on the road or in a tough spot. Yogi has the experience but needs to translate that to a consistent effort all season.

Hope for the best, plan for the worst. DD will make the best decision for him and his family. Would love to see him play for IU but if not wish him the best.

Seems to an emphasis on getting the ball into Bryant.

Defensive communication with the second unit is better. Still over helping and leaving shooters open.
