(2019) SG Brandon Newman to Purdue
hoosierpap replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Like Gnarly said, if Archie wants him I think he gets him. Slow playing it is smart at this point though -
(2018) PG - Kira Lewis to Alabama
hoosierpap replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
A visit is going to have to change things because nobody seems to confident he's getting out of the South at this point. I do like this kid a lot. -
(2019) PF Isaiah Stewart to Washington
hoosierpap replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
It went well. Crean's visit's always went well, too. I'm told IU is basically in the second tier right now. Something is going to have to change to get him to Bloomington. -

(2019) SF Keion Brooks Jr. to Kentucky
hoosierpap replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
No problem. I think we've talked about it around here but if Khaliq hadn't moved on I'm not so sure Keion would be in IU's backyard, relatively speaking. This just confirms he'll be at North Side for the duration of the recruitment. -

That's been the speculation. It would help IU -
(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
hoosierpap replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
This happens all the time, breaks no rule, and is honestly just scratching the surface of some of the stuff that goes on. I would have the same take if it was UK, UL, PU, whoever because we're dealing with facts. -
(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA
hoosierpap replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Those two could co-exist. I would put TJD in more of the 5 category at this point. His game stays within the 3 point line. I wouldn't lay down much money on Hurt ending up at IU but I do think IU will go for it. I expect an OV and if you're in the top 5 for a player of this caliber it's negligent not to. -
(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA
hoosierpap replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
With regards to TJD, I don't know when he commits but something would have to change for him not to end up in Bloomington. It's pretty well known in coaching circles and more than one HM coach has said they're out on TJD bc of Indiana. Things can always change, but that's absolutely what is being said Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA
hoosierpap replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Brooks is just pretty wide open, anyone trying to call that a certain way is BS'in you. IU is certainly in the top tier but he's listening to anyone who wants to jump in. And he's having a great spring so that's probably a logical approach Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA
hoosierpap replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Trayce's game is still developing amongst the obvious potential. I agree, if I were putting money he'd be gone in a year. But I can see a 2 year guy out of him. In terms of offense, there is plenty of development to be had outside of 15 feet. Defensively, he has the instincts at this point. -

This is actually very true -
(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS

Archie has it figured out. I love what Romeo brings next year, but it's bigger than that. -

Hate when that happens. -
(2019) PF Matthew Hurt to Duke

I get that IU is "there" w Hurt. I'm telling you i'd be shocked if Indiana is a real player when it comes to the decision. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

I often forget, as well. -
(2019) SF Trendon Watford to LSU
hoosierpap replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
IU and Bama for sure. Penny's hiring seems to be shooting waves across the circuit so that's one to monitor, imo, for anyone in the South. -

True. I also wouldn't consider Vandy a player here -
(2019) SF Trendon Watford to LSU
hoosierpap replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Some recent talk about Vandy getting involved. Do I see him going there? No. Would it be negligent to not try given recent recruiting momentum and region? Yeah -

2019 General Recruiting Thread

Coaches let kids/coaches know if they're evaluating them. They talk. The whole thing funnels down to interested parties and, ultimately, reporters -

It's been a long ride, but it's Indiana.
