I think it was Shakespeare who said comparisons are odious. Or someone said that. Anyways, last point is definitely fair. I guess I just don't want people automatically assuming Al will be as deficient as Stan from deep because I don't think that is fair. He is a different player/person. Which brings me to another point... I've talked about this before on here and on HSN and went on like a 1000 word rant with regards to Yogi freshman year....something people rarely talk about is how much of shooting is mental. Confidence, and lack there of, play a huge role in shooting percentage. It's a volatile aspect. Stan had form issues, no doubt, but he was also in his own head in a bad, bad, way. Stan didn't make a single 3 his last year at IU.

(2018) PG Robert Phinisee to Cincinnati
hoosierpap replied to Hovadipo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I really don't know his timeline. I always think it's smart to wait a bit on the players end. Fall of senior year is a little later than maybe the ideal time, spring definitely too late imo. Right now for him it makes sense to see what's out there as he and his recruitment is just taking form. -

Thanks for manning this CCG. I finally got them up in the first post. I also put a link to the team rankings. Interesting Wiscy is still without a commitment with two open grants. I believe they thought they were getting Austin Arians, the transfer out of Milwaukee but he just committed to Wake Forest. I do think they're going to walk away with one soon in D'Mitrik Trice who is a decent player but not a great year thus far for them. -

I think this is fair. I think it's also important to note ( and I'm not saying you are saying this but in general) that the landscape of the whole in state recruiting thing has changed from what I feel like most people generally think of who have been following basketball for some time. Much more of a national scene thanks, mostly, in part to technology. Just a truth, nothing to do with IU, Crean or the administration.
