  1. I think it was Shakespeare who said comparisons are odious. Or someone said that. Anyways, last point is definitely fair. I guess I just don't want people automatically assuming Al will be as deficient as Stan from deep because I don't think that is fair. He is a different player/person. Which brings me to another point... I've talked about this before on here and on HSN and went on like a 1000 word rant with regards to Yogi freshman year....something people rarely talk about is how much of shooting is mental. Confidence, and lack there of, play a huge role in shooting percentage. It's a volatile aspect. Stan had form issues, no doubt, but he was also in his own head in a bad, bad, way. Stan didn't make a single 3 his last year at IU.
  2. Trevor Andershock @INBBallSource It's a matter of time before Keion Brooks has dozens of offers. twitter.com/PatLawless_/st… Pat Lawless @PatLawless_ Keion Brooks Jr., a class of 2019 wing playing for the Indy Hoosiers (IN), just picked up an offer from Purdue.
  3. No. Stan's shot was so broken tried switching hands. Let's not get carried away.
  4. mentioned IU first. I'm going to keep screaming about this kid because he is an insane talent and IU has a real shot.
  5. Mike Pegram @peegs Justin Smith with pair of early threes for Mac Irvin Fire. Looks more comfortable from that distance versus last summer
  6. RTC Big East @rtcbigeast Seems like every time I check Twitter there's Big East transfer news... St. John's adding two guys: Justin Simon and Marvin Clark.
  7. Corey Evans @coreyevans_10 The IMG duo of Aleem Ford and Dmitrik Trice will take official visits to Wisconsin tomorrow, per source Plus, transfer and former IU target, Jimmy Witt has interest
  8. LOL was searching for something else and saw this. I guess it never got off the ground?
  9. Last ditch effort... Freddie McSwain Jr. @Mcswain_swain Good visit from Bruce Weber today
  10. Steve Alford in to see him today
  11. @GoodmanESPN Michigan grad transfer Spike Albrecht told ESPN that he's looking at Purdue, Wichita State, Indiana, Texas A&M, Syracuse, USC & Milwaukee.
  12. This open and shut idea of Langford to Duke is just off. He may commit there and I still won't be wrong about that. Heard some stuff about Duke
  13. Brian Snow @BSnowScout Per his HS coach Duke has offered Romeo Langford @TheDevilsDen
  14. I really don't know his timeline. I always think it's smart to wait a bit on the players end. Fall of senior year is a little later than maybe the ideal time, spring definitely too late imo. Right now for him it makes sense to see what's out there as he and his recruitment is just taking form.
  15. What do you mean by waits it out?
  16. http://www.jconline.com/story/sports/high-school/2016/04/09/big-school-player-year-mccutcheons-robert-phinisee/82572936/ Don't forget about Phinisee. This thread should be twice as long
  17. Thanks for manning this CCG. I finally got them up in the first post. I also put a link to the team rankings. Interesting Wiscy is still without a commitment with two open grants. I believe they thought they were getting Austin Arians, the transfer out of Milwaukee but he just committed to Wake Forest. I do think they're going to walk away with one soon in D'Mitrik Trice who is a decent player but not a great year thus far for them.
  18. Jeff Rabjohns @JeffRabjohns Juco forward Freddie McSwain has arrived at Indiana to begin his official visit. twitter.com/mcswain_swain/… Freddie McSwain Jr @Mcswain_swain Made it
  19. I think this is fair. I think it's also important to note ( and I'm not saying you are saying this but in general) that the landscape of the whole in state recruiting thing has changed from what I feel like most people generally think of who have been following basketball for some time. Much more of a national scene thanks, mostly, in part to technology. Just a truth, nothing to do with IU, Crean or the administration.
