(2018) PG Robert Phinisee to Cincinnati
hoosierpap replied to Hovadipo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
RP is not the early answer. But RP could grow into a perfect situation. He is a pass first PG, (which was a major issue in AAU because his team was, frankly, horrible) and if IU is going to land all this talent we keep talking about 2-5, RP is perfect. Holds onto the ball, distributor, floor general. All the while IU can swing away at PG if they please. -

Don't think it matters honestly. -

My plan would be Romeo (also, BPA) which I think the staff is making headway on.... Does seem there is a scenario where it's BPA+ a big. No one is telling me that, just seems to be the way so take that fwiw -

Okay, but seriously IU needs a 1/2 going forward....like immediately. CCG instilled me not to let these get off topic, so I'll start a '19 thread...respond there, let's get it going -

Yeah, no one is saying IU has taken over. IU doesn't trail. Long way to go but in as good as shape as any -

PG Cole Anthony (9) Jeremiah Francis (51) Isaiah Thompson (180) SG SF Trendon Watford (13) PF Matthew Hurt (5) Keion Brooks (21) Francis Okoro (24) Isaiah Stewart (32) Trayce Jackson-Davis (102) C James Wiseman (2) Kofi Cockburn (27) Obviously, the staff is looking at more, just a rough draft. A bunch of Indiana kids who they're evaluating at this point. I'll add, but PM me if I missed more significants. I expect 2-3 on the class. -

(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
hoosierpap replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Think it's the other way around, tbh. Tim and Sabrina want him close -
"Then Indiana’s Tom Crean showed up. He sat through 10 minutes of our open gym, offered Will a scholarship, went back to Bloomington and he and his staff went to work, consistently and precisely recruiting him. They recruited Will like they absolutely needed him and they did it from that open gym until signing day. 1,120 career points, a Big10 Title, a few Big10 individual accolades and a game winning NCAA tourney shot to send IU to the Sweet 16 later and Coach Crean looked pretty smart. He knew what he was looking for, he saw it, and he pounced…decisively and consistently." Full quote.

Who gets the ball in late shot clock situations

I think we're split here talking about two different situations. I took this as late clock, offense broke down, iso/create shot w some semblance of consistency -

Haven't read this thread, and while you may be right given this roster, I don't have a ton of confidence in any of them in said situation. -

(2018) G/F Damezi Anderson to Detroit Mercy
hoosierpap replied to Hovadipo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
He has a real knack for finding space. Rotates around a zone D as the ball moves, waits for his man to turn in man and finds space. His ability to get open off the ball is well above avg and gets him those open looks over and over again.
