(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
HoosierHoops1 replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Page count will really ratchet up once Romeo sets his visit date, as the visit date approaches, during the visit, after the visit and, as the visit becomes further in the rear view with no word. -
B10 Basketball Recruiting Thread

I can't tell by looking at '17 , '18 and '19 where the cut off is. 2017 1-27 5 star 28-127 4 star 2018 1-26 5 star 27-135 4 star 2019 1-25 5 star 26-139 4 star, but the first 46 3 star players are rated higher than the last 4 star in 2018. -

That's what I was thinking, but I wasn't sure. Is it everyone who grades out at over .9000 5 star? -

Seems like 3 or 4 years ago, or so, the top 25 players were 5 star, the next 75 4 star and then 3 star etc... But I think it varies now and there are a lot more 4 stars. -

I don't think he has said that playing with other great players is priority #1. I think people continually ask him what he's looking for and that is always among his list. We'll have good enough players for Romeo's Indiana to have a good season. -

Yeah, I don't appreciate what I'm seeing tonight either -
We lost our starting guards and should be better!

I'm torn. I generally root for the B1G, but since the age of the NCAA tournament 1939. Indiana has 5 National titles and THE REST OF THE B1G COMBINED has 5 National titles. I kinda hate for the "basketball teams also included in the Big 10 conference" to pass us. EDIT: I don't count Maryland's while in another conference, Nebraska's old football titles or any Ping pong, badminton or other such titles that Rutgers may have has years ago. -

2018 3X3U National Championship

Hopefully this was just proof of concept and they can get some obscure broadcast channel to display it -
So much of it is getting good players who stay. Try having Cody and Vic in 14. Try James, Thomas and OG this season. Guys who have 1 and done's have to replace their best players each year, but often don't replace them with "like" quality because recruits don't know if they are staying or going.

Many of the people who do evaluate high school basketball for a living probably are morons, and are certainly lemmings and me too, men. The vast majority; instead of being the old-school blowhard at the end of the bar, are modern bloggers with an internet connection, love of sports and a penchant for writing. It's honestly ridiculous how every 20 something with a blog thinks they are a genius and considers the individuals with 25 years of experience, but who happened to have chosen a different career path for a living are morons. -

To me, if I have a quality center, a quality Point, a quality wing and then add another wing, the quality (or value) of my point guard doesn't go down. The quality of the class goes up. Worthless because it no longer measures the value and quality of a team with an extra guy. A class can't get diminishing returns. It might not get better by adding Jeremiah April, but the other recruits didn't lose talent because of it. -

It's a points value based on player ranking perception. if you take Jake, Damezi and Jerome as our class with their ratings, and if you add Rob our ratings rise +9.9, adding Race raises it 17.7, so Race's rating is about 80% higher than Robs. Walkons appear to be +0. Bawa Muniru was +.04 -

Curiously, Race is rated a +17.7 and Rob P just under +10 -

I think we would move up to 6th in the current rankings with Romeo. Could still add another, and don't forget, Race is a new player+, with system knowledge.
