  1. I'd say there's pretty good potential for JMor and Romeo to get a little face-time on Romeo's visit.
  2. Welcome to the age of "social" media. It's gonna get worse, I'm afraid.
  3. Maybe that's a magic date. If JM doesn't throw his hat in the ring by the deadline then Romeo would know he would be here.
  4. Ok. Thanks. No, I don't think Kansas will buck the trend.
  5. I imagine a ton of them wished they had taken more time.
  6. Does this mean none of the 4 will continue the trend, or was this spotlight on Kansas only?
  7. I think it's just because they are so distraught that there's nothing to live for so the feel they might as well go all the way down into the dumps.
  8. Why? Temptations are all around us. You don't have to acquiesce.
  9. No one is a victim. No one has to be paid to go to UNC, if they want to go to UNC, go to UNC. If you want to go to Kentucky (yuck) go to Kentucky. If you want to be paid, then you're part of the problem. There is only 1 way to get money to go to a school. Accept money. You either go where you want, or accept money to go elsewhere.
  10. According to the article, there will be a G-league draft in October. I would assume he would be listed as a 1-way player, meaning he can only play in the G-League and won't have any personal affiliation with an NBA team. Then he can enter the 2019 NBA draft same as if he had gone to the 'cuse
  11. By the way, Morgan, Smith, Romeo > Shittu, Garland, Romeo in 2018-19
  12. Here's the one I didn't like, along with the one about "good players", as if only Mcd's players are good. The pick: Kansas Why: “Right now all of us are going at him talking about Vanderbilt or Kansas. But hopefully Kansas is the plan.” – McCormack
  13. Looks like the original nomination was Bryant Mcintosh instead of Rojo
  14. Yeah, I think Cody Zeller only played maybe 8-10 mins a game as a high school freshman at Washington.
  15. I agree with this. I was responding to someone saying getting Romeo would help us win more than retaining Morgan.
  16. Without both, we probably won't be a whole lot better, just different. All depending on who we get to replace either one, of course.
  17. If Romeo comes and Juwan goes, do you really think our team gets much better?
  18. Seems like previous indications where that Archie had a higher perceived ceiling than Sean.
  19. That's the thing; in any given class there's a finite # of 5-stars that want to play D, truly work on D at a high level, and I think for Archie's system to work top notch, everyone has to buy in on Defense. That leaves a lot of "stars" out, each year. Your last sentence is also where guys like VO separate themselves from the other 3 stars and make a continual rise. VO didn't take many plays off.
  20. It remains to be seen how it all unfolds. Just because Mack offered those players today, doesn't mean they are gonna end up on the Lewinski end of a Uof6 scholarship.
  21. I think it's possible he could have taken the easy route and squeezed another win or 2 out of this last team, by letting them play Crean ball, but he stuck to his guns and we saw how the defense responded WITH CREANS' KIDS and how the turnovers decreased. I think with his system and his players, we'll see some growth. Yeah, it was easier for Holtman, but the style was a similar style but with better players than he was accustomed to.
  22. Archie didn't have a lot of room to add people last year, without cutting the 3 incomming, who he probably didn't have a real good handle on, if they were good or easily replaceable. I don't think the grad transfer route was a "thing" when Crean took over.
