Not a knock on Freddie; he was a really good guy and played hard out of necessity and a crappy roster. However, he was a 6'4" center who couldn't shoot, and to consider him anything other than a weak player is questionable. Hey; Wayne makes the point using the names of players who weren't scouted much and turned out badly. There are a few (maybe even Victor) who weren't scouted and turned out way better. I think that the takeaway is that when you aren't really sure what you're getting, the chances of getting an unpleasant surprise is much higher.

Only the message board crazies turn on each other - I’m fairly certain that the fan base as a whole is extremely satisfied with their recent results. However, if their class stays as Isaiah Thompson, a chronically bad knee Gillis, and Newman, the on court results will start to suffer.
