  1. He did, but it was by hitting four 3s almost entirely in the last ten minutes of the game when both teams’ focus had significantly diminished.
  2. Direct cut 'n paste from "The Red & Black"; the campus full-service daily newspaper - their version of the IDS. Gonna be a high-comedy ride in Athens Georgia.
  3. Oooh...I call your David Williams and raise you a Guy Marc Michel.
  4. And as if the 26 turnovers against a D2 team didn't fire up this thread enough...wait until you read this game recap article!! ____________________________________________________________________________________ Takeaways from Georgia men’s basketball blowout of West Georgia in exhibition game Head men’s basketball coach Tom Crean roamed the Stegeman Coliseum sidelines in a game for the first time on Thursday. But it was only an exhibition game, and Crean treated it as such. He put every player in the game, sat back and watched. But he had some coaching to do at halftime. Even though Georgia was leading 44-25, Crean was afraid his team was going to lose . That’s because West Georgia was running a zone defense and the Bulldogs hadn’t prepared at all for zone. “We had not worked on that,” Crean said. “Literally.” On the fly, he taught his team a zone offense in the tunnel. Georgia adjusted and beat West Georgia 98-59 in its final tune-up before the regular season commences on Nov. 9 against Savannah State. West Georgia was a .500 team last year in the Gulf Coast Conference in NCAA Division II. So maybe Thursday’s exhibition game in Stegeman wasn’t an adequate test of the Bulldogs
  5. Not a knock on Freddie; he was a really good guy and played hard out of necessity and a crappy roster. However, he was a 6'4" center who couldn't shoot, and to consider him anything other than a weak player is questionable. Hey; Wayne makes the point using the names of players who weren't scouted much and turned out badly. There are a few (maybe even Victor) who weren't scouted and turned out way better. I think that the takeaway is that when you aren't really sure what you're getting, the chances of getting an unpleasant surprise is much higher.
  6. Max Hoetzel Grant Gelon Jeremiah April Tim Priller Freddie McSwain, Malik Story, I'm sure there are others.
  7. Taking all the visits he said he would. Roy wants Keion, but has Shannon in the mix as a combo "Keion motivator" and plan ''B' Does that seem about right pap?
  8. After last night: My current opinion of likely rotation players: Juwan Romeo McBob Justin Rob DeVonte Al Fitz Race Jerome That leaves Damezi, DeRon, Jake,, and Clifton as staying on the bench most nights.
  9. Patience and context, y'all: For me? Damezi is a good shooter, but his game last night was likely fool's gold. While it was good to see DeRon out there, I kinda think that Race Thompson will be our primary backup at the 5 spot.
  10. Yes you have. And while you routinely have some strong opinions, anyone would be hard-pressed to call you a sunshine pumper! No one really argued or disagreed with you, but most (myself included) were more of the mindset of "I hope you're right." No one jumped in with all ten toes to the extent you did. Old Friend..."I hope you're right" has now morphed into "Sure looks like it's real." Kudos, and man o man that is some good news.
  11. UNC is apparently starting to recruit uncommitted top 100 6'6" SF/wing Terrence Shannon. Have to see that as a positive development for IU regarding Keion Brooks.
  12. No...You're fine! That BTN subscription will get you both the live view and the on-demand view later.
  13. As long as we slow the pace and don't try to run and gun against the Running Rebels we should be fine. ;)
  14. THOSE are the takeaways?!? Ahem...did Thomas miss that lil' jumper only to have Ricky tip it in? I must know!!!! ;)
  15. Only the message board crazies turn on each other - I’m fairly certain that the fan base as a whole is extremely satisfied with their recent results. However, if their class stays as Isaiah Thompson, a chronically bad knee Gillis, and Newman, the on court results will start to suffer.
  16. Malik Hall officially to MSU - Malik Hall officially not to Purdoo.
  17. And I am looking forward to a new season’s worth of information from the legendary, outstanding poster that literally and figuratively “delivers “, Uspshoosier.
  18. Beverly is a really good player. Don't freak out re: Keion; this is not the first time we have been mentioned in articles and posts about his recruitment.
  19. Five points, one rebound, one assist, and.... one transfer to whatever his next stop will be.
  20. Sounds like a Florida issue to me :)
  21. C’mon Brass - you the answer to your question about whose outside shooting has greatly improved. It’s McBob.
