  1. I’m starting to get Xavier Booker vibes here. How much intensity can he be playing with when he’s putting up those numbers with his five star talent?
  2. Barry Odom opened his Bucket week press conference quite literally with “Happy Thanksgiving, for those who celebrate it.” You asked “Who the f doesn’t celebrate Thanksgiving?” Puredoo Coach Barry Odom is not sure, and he’s not taking any chances!! :)
  3. Boogie Fland is solid-ish. As you said; Lee is terrible. Klavzar is much improved. UF doesn’t really have a fourth guard. UF has major guard problems and there’s no real options to solve the problems.
  4. Tell you what: The Lions/Packers Thanksgiving Day game halftime show is a live performance by the White Stripes with Eminem kicking in for one number and absolutely nothing pre-recorded. it was pretty freaking epic.
  5. That’s where scheme comes in. Our actions are designed to free players in certain areas and to draw the defense to certain areas. In very basic terms, we screen, space, and move to open spots behind the three point line, and then flash bigs or drive guards all the way to the rim once the defense gets far extended. You are a guy that appreciates RMK: He had a motion offense that freed up shooters all over the court; that is, until the 1987 addition of the three point line and Alford. At that point, his motion offense turned into a scheme to free up Alford in deep space. That’s what he used for Jay Edwards and Evans too. Problem is, RMK never really had a shooter of that caliber after those three.
  6. I gave thanks that turkey Woody is gone. And beyond my real world family & friends loves? For IUFB and now basketball, and for this fantastic place with like minded outstanding people to discuss it all.
  7. It’s all about points per possession. If guys like Wilkerson and Devries hit 60% of open 15 footers and 50% of open three-pointers, they are scoring far more by shooting three-pointers. And that’s without including that the offensive rebounding percentage is higher on missed three-pointers than on missed two pointers. That’s why three pointers and 75+ % shots at the rim are the most efficient and productive ways to score.
  8. That is a Derik Queen comp if I ever read one.
  9. It doesn't take long Riley, it doesn't take long.
  10. The IU shot chart against K State is another gawddddamnn thing of beauty:
  11. From the KSU message board. When was the last time we had a player that will consistently get this 'allegedly negative' but completely complimentary reaction from opposing fans... maybe WIll Sheehey? Connor Enright is the kind of kid that helps in one very key statistical category: won/lost record.
  12. Bailey is really fast, weak with the ball, The most athletic player on the roster, and makes some bad decisions.
  13. Good. Based on what you viewed, you deserve this punishment.
  14. Where there’s a will, there’s a Coner….
  15. K State is wearing out mentally. It’s really hard to chase IU’s shooters for this long; and then the drives and big flashes get you when you lose focus.
  16. DRock’s boys are wearing them out mentally. Hey! Having a badass coach and a modern system kinda helps; who’d a thunk it? :)
  17. He was outstanding at the end of the first half too. Chasing three point shooters and Conerway and Enright’s standard of intensity is wearing them down mentally.
  18. Any of you guys watch the Pacers? Enright = college TJ McConnell
  19. I LOVE MODERN OFFENSE!! All of those open basket cuts by our bigs are a direct reflection of KState desperately trying to deny the three. Get used to it y’all; the Archie/Woody slog of an offense is GONE. We just had a five minute scoring drought and still scored 39 that half. THANK GOODNESS THE SUFFERING IS OVER
  20. Tell you what, Bailey has terrible hands, but he played his ever loving @$$ off toward the end of the half and was excellent defensively. Props because a lot of guys would have hung their head after the start he had.
  21. Doesn’t matter who starts; Alexis already plays as much as foul trouble allows.
