  1. He is so much better he felt it was worth redundant-izing the thought!
  2. A special player for the Hoosiers.   Special.
  3.   I really think that answering that questionnaire should be a condition of UK guy's return!
  4.         Well then. Please answer my questionnaire!
  5.   Not trying to pick a fight; just trying to understand you: How long have you been a Kentucky fan? What is your poster name on Rupp Rafters? Do you wear your Kentucky gear when you post on this board? Do you live in Kentucky, or are you an Indiana-based Kentucky fan? Do you like naked, tied-up, UK locker room spanking, 'Anthony Davis style'? (very personal - answering this question is optional, and the answer may be placed in the NSFW thread). Finally:   If you did NOT attend the University of Kentucky, do you realize that you still have as many UK degrees as "Boogie" Knight, Orton, Wall, Bledsoe, Towns, Noel, Jones, Young, Davis, Lamb, Lyles, Dakari, Cauley, Booker, Harrison, other Harrison, and Teague COMBINED? In fact, you are among brethren! EVERY SINGLE POSTER on this IU board has as many UK degrees as all of those UK players combined!   Of course, Oladipo, Zeller, Watford, and Hulls have five more college degrees than all of those ... ahem..."college" players.
  6. UMMMMM...   Verdell just had his THIRD STRAIGHT GAME with at least 25 points, 5 rebounds and five assists in the D league.   Holy crap, call him up to the NBA.
  7. Blackmon is gonna drive me nutty next year. I can already feel it coming.
  8.   Napleshoosier is bold as hell.  That's why we like him.   When I can get him to join me in killing the "Fire Crean" thread, I will know the task is all but complete.
  9.   This.   We need a PG who has enough of a jumper to keep defenses honest, and keep the ball moving. Newkirk hasn't exhibited that yet, but he has shown signs of being able to do so.   Also, we will have excellent leadership: RoJo, Colinn, and Josh Newkirk are built for that collective role.
  10. Great post, True.   And, I got a good chuckle out of your "source for classic northeast liberal dogma" line. You're not a strong Bernie Sanders supporter? No way!  ;)
  11.     KatzscoopsStuhooScoopsBozich
  12. CTC was on ESPNU, and said it is likely that the entirety of OJuwananoby will be available on Sunday. One back...Juwan: one RoJo to go!
  13. Curse you Nips! I read that link, and now I have to Purel my brain stem
  14.   While that is true, James is not nearly as physically gifted with ability to defend as Troy. That's why Troy can be quite good in spurts.   On the other hand, James is surely as athletically talented as Verdell and Nick Z, both of whom became pretty reasonable defenders.
  15. I thought we played with great focus and character in the second half Remember, the other team is trying too!
  16. Close it down!   :onthequiet: :onthequiet: :onthequiet: :onthequiet:
  17. Iowa:   Outrebounded us by three Made eight more free throws Had four fewer turnovers Had three more assists Had one more steal And we. Won The. Game.   On the road. On their senior night. Against four senior Iowa starters.   WOW.
  18.     They were driving to the hospital on one of the worst days of their lives. Iowa coach Fran McCaffery, wife Margaret, and son Patrick, who had just found out he had thyroid cancer. They were headed to talk to the surgeon about what to do next, when the cell phone rang.   Indiana coach Tom Crean was on the line with one question. Any news on Patrick? “Malignant,” Fran said, uttering one of the worst words a father could ever have to use about his son. “Then we’re going to pray, you and me, over the phone,” Crean said. So they did. Seven months later, Patrick McCaffery is cancer-free. Seven months later, his father can look around at all the Big Ten coaches who get paid the big bucks to torment one another, and understand what it means not to be alone in the dark. “The support was overwhelming,” he said. “It puts a little perspective to all of this.” There was Crean. “You want to compete, you want to win. But when you’re in the same line and you have the same feelings, when something like that happens … you have empathy,” he said of McCaffery. “It probably helped to solidify our friendship. But it wouldn’t have mattered if we never talked again. That’s how I felt. I would hope somebody would do that for me.”
