  1. I don't think it was to screw the colts necessarily, they wanted him also but found out they couldn't wait so had to pull the trigger earlier than they had planned.
  2. On Dan Patrick today he said he was told the Colts were all set to take Jordan Love and the packers found out and snaked us. Eason was the fall back option. Makes me think they viewed Eason as a 2 year project to get ready and hoped Phil would give them 2 years. I’m not opposed to giving Darnold a shot if it’s a team friendly deal. 3. Rivers calling it quits. Hope Ballard has a plan.
  4. He should have put in 43. Maybe that one would have worked. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  5. Mets have to be the first team in history to fire a new manager and a new GM in back to back seasons without either one making it to spring training. And speaking of Porter, what is the thought process of being ignored by this girl for 3 months and deciding that a picture of your junk will woo her over?
  6. Baylor’s D is insane. Kansas is struggling to find any semblance of a good offense so far Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  7. It should be open season on UT recruits. I know we offered a handful that chose them, time for some follow up calls. For that matter, with the current transfer rules, it should be open season on their whole roster lol. Tell Warren to stop in Knoxville on his way up and send out some feelers.
  8. Top shelf recruiter at just the right time. We've positioned ourselves to compete for higher level recruits to continue the upward trajectory of the program. Experience coaching at big time programs. Always a plus. Air Force Academy graduate, dude is smart. Can't speak to his x's and o's or calling a defense, but as said above, he's smart. If CTA believes in him that's good enough for me. Go Hoosiers
  9. Ole Miss first half against Crean’s bulldogs, 1-13 from 3 and 1-7 FT Yikes Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  10. OSU all over the Illini early, 30-17. Elsewhere, the more I watch Dawson Garcia and remember he’s only a freshman, the more missing on him stings. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  11. Agreed. He was really close to Hart. Reminds me a lot of the Sampson James episode last year when he entered the transfer portal after Ballou left for Bama. Hopefully cooler heads prevail again.
  12. LMFAO, you want to talk about schemes? You're the same guy that said Wommack's schemes were trash. You think you have any idea what Sheridan's offensive philosophy is long term based on this year? A year that our players were playing under their 3rd different OC in as many years. A year that had no spring practice, no summer workouts, and a hastily thrown together 2 week fall camp to install a new offense. Common sense might tell you that the O was going to be a little vanilla. Our entire offensive "scheme" this year consisted of one thing and one thing only, max pass pro to keep our injury prone QB as healthy as we could. And it worked, we were top 20 in the nation in sacks allowed, top 20 in TFL allowed, and Penix stayed healthy until he tore another ACL running out of bounds. And a lot of that success can be attributed to RBs that were well schooled in picking up blitzes and edge rushers. Chairs don't teach that, good RB coaches do. Is he replaceable? Absolutely. Is he easily replaced? Not so much.
  13. The fact that you reduced his role to “teach running it up the gut for a couple yards” pretty much proves my point. How was his recruiting? How do our RBs do in pass protection? Do our RBs lay it on the ground too much? Stevie Scott was a low 3 star Hart flipped to here and is a 2 time all B1G rb. Sampson James was the highest rated recruit we’ve gotten in forever, hart was lead recruiter, just as he was with Tim Baldwin, David Ellis, and Ronnie Walker. Bag on the o line if you wish, but our running game problems are not a result of us lacking B1G caliber RBs. The guy was integral part of turning this program around. Culture wise as well as results. He deserves a lot more than your moronic hot takes on his way out the door. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  14. STFU you troll. You’ve long established that you have the football IQ of a hamster, so don’t bring the rest of the board down by making our fan base look like idiots. And before the “everyone is ganging up on LCS” crowd gets their hackles up, the only group that should be offended by the previous paragraph are hamsters Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  15. Just like they did against IU? This isn’t the first time that secondary got exposed, Shaun Wade in particular. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  16. Michigan taking Wisky to the wood shed 40-23 at half Refs having nothing to do with Davison’s usual floppy antics lol Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  17. Colts become first team in nfl playoff history to have 0 turnovers, 450+ yards of offense and lose. Scenario had occurred 11 previous times and those teams were 11-0 with an average margin of victory of 21.3 points. So, there’s that. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  18. Sort of. The 85 scholly limit remains, but players using the Covid year freebie that have exhausted eligibility do NOT count towards the 85. A good example is Dylan Powell, he counts towards the 85 limit because he still had a year of normal eligibility left. Guys like Fryfogle who were out of eligibility won’t count toward the 85 limit next year. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  19. Pretty cool seeing the news of Fryfogle’s decision scroll across the chyron on ESPN2 . Bowl loss or not, the brand is growing. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  20. Cincinnati DC Marcus Freeman takes the DC job at Norte Dame. Dude is a rising star. Definitely a plus for IU when we play them next year not having to deal with him. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  21. Yes sir!!! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  22. Rosters will expand to accommodate players choosing to play another year that otherwise had exhausted their eligibility. They won’t count toward the 85 scholarship limit. Other than that everything remains the same, recruiting class size won’t be affected. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
