Any way you slice it, middle of the pack in the B1G and top 50 class nationally is pretty solid for a program with 1 bowl appearance in 20 years. Add in Howard and Hawkins, who don't count towards the rankings, and I'm a happy happy camper. Time to translate these success's to W's.   Another thought on Howard coming in at RB along with Redding returning. Sure CKW came in with the QB guru rep, but his line of RBs now consists of Adrian Peterson, Demarco Murray, and Tevin.

  I respectfully disagree that its a good comparison. The underclassmen draft eligibilty rules didn't change until 1989, the very draft AT would have entered as a jr.  Leaving early was never  consideration for him until the prospect suddenly became an option.Underclassmen leaving early is all Tevin has ever known.      The NFL draft advisory board didn't exist until 1994. The only people AT had to consult on his draft prospects were Coach Mal and his family. Tevin has that resource, not just some hired gun, paid consulting service whispering sweets in his ear.   I'm not saying the system is better or worse, just vastly different than it was 25 years ago.
