Right! Unless there was a short blip in the Journal Gazette I didn't know about a commit until he was on campus and I got a magazine.

Before Coach K got Rivers his classes were very inconsistent for about 10 years. He wasn't looked at as a great recruiter. Since then? He has been phenomenal. Even during those "down" recruiting years he was constantly out recruited by UNC.

He actually missed the tournament twice (2010 & 2012). In 2012 his team had back to back top 5 classes according to 247 composite. I think we would have plenty of people ready to walk him out of town after that. In 2009 his first year he had a top 15 class. His second year was the outlier top 40 class with one recruit. After that he has hovered around 5 every year with no final fours and upperclassmen. That's nuts.

Thats what I am saying. Unfair or not he hasn't been to a final four with all that talent. IMO he is the most consistent recruiter not named Calipari.

I keep seeing Arizona brought up as a barometer. They essentially are the only power team out west right now. They really have underperformed with the talent they have had. They have had multiple top 5 classes since Miller came in and have been bounced fairly early from what's expected every year.

What he is saying is the last 3 classes at MSU has been awful. Even if they didn't have pt to offer. Izzo is Izzo and doesn't have to pull the classes Crean does to be successful.

Look at what LSU did for 2015. Every year there is a Miss St.

Yeah the NBA you have to have at least two great players anymore to compete annually. It sucks but Indiana is not going to draw top FA. We have to build through the draft and keep going to games. I hope to make 7-10 home games this year. Indiana does a good job of making it a fun family atmosphere even when they suck. If we could get lucky enough to get two solid picks with one being a star I think we have a solid core. Most likely is hoping to get Cleveland lucky in the draft cause we aren't Philly bad.

They need a top 3 pick. Knowing how we do every year they will end in the 8-12 range and in the same boat next year.

I think it was a lot like the top player we get every year now but at that point from the depths we were I think some of the outlandish expectations had some scared away. After that first game people's expectations went through the roof.

I think kids like Vonleh are critical for future success at IU. One and done players are just as critical to top programs as 4 year quality players.
