Embarrassing........ I just can’t stand to watch an Archie Miller coached team anymore (been that way for awhile). No way we will ever be relevant with him as coach. Been fairly silent this year for basketball, and there’s a reason for it. To me it seems like Thad Matta or Oats would be potentially great hires. If Matta is healthy and can stay that way (I have no idea what issues he had), then he is a huge hire IMO. He’s proven he can coach on big stages and be successful. Oats might be the up and comer IU would go after, but is having really good success at a decent major program. Thad Matta is a very interesting candidate and one that might be able to get everyone onboard to some degree. One question I have is some posters talking about Archie starting to get a bad image amongst the players for his attitude. Can anyone elaborate, I haven’t heard that before? I wouldn’t say that it’s the personnel, but the scheme that Miller runs makes it difficult for Freshman to play in unless they are elite. I know some will hate this topic because we are probably over a year away from this, but just curious who would be actually candidates outside of pipe-dream Stevens, Few, and Donovan? I honestly don’t know, but maybe someone like Rick Barnes would be someone good to hire that could right the ship for awhile. Make us a consistently good program. There’s a reason I don’t watch IU basketball anymore...... not a fair weather fan, just can’t stand the product that been given to us in year 4. This was the season I would judge Archie Miller and it’s a major fail. Unfortunately we are probably stuck with this for another couple of years.
