  4. http://247sports.com/Article/Reese-Taylor-puts-on-a-show-in-front-of-top-schools-Indiana-and--52619652 Indianapolis (Ind.) Ben Davis athlete Reese Taylor may have earned himself some more scholarship money on Wednesday night with a strong performance during his school’s workout, attended by several college programs. In the meantime, Taylor’s top two schools were in the building watching him compete as the Hoosier State Mr. Football favorite took reps at receiver, cornerback and quarterback where he’ll lead his team this fall. “Right now it’s probably IU or Wisconsin,” Taylor said of his favorites. “They’re battling right now.” Other schools that were on the Ben Davis campus included Notre Dame, Northwestern, Michigan State, Duke, Purdue, Illinois and Iowa. It was Bob Bostad who made the trip down from Madison to check out Taylor and Taylor will return the favor and visit next weekend. “Wisconsin, they go out of their way to make a strong relationship with you,” Taylor said. “I’m visiting them not this weekend but next. That’s when I’m going to see how their football program is.” Taylor has been to Indiana several times in the past. “IU, they’re just, I like everything about their football program, the facilities, the coaches, the coaches are the best part. They’re good people too.” 247Sports ranks Taylor as the nation’s No. 33 athlete and No. 4 prospect in Indiana. As a junior he passed for 26 touchdowns and ran for 23 more.

  8. Great news for the Eisbären Bremerhaven and their fans: Playmaker Jordan Hulls will continue to play for the northernmost easyCredit Basketball Bundesliga. The 27-year-old Point Guard from Bloomington, Indiana, has now extended his contract with the polar bears for a year. Jordan Hulls has developed into an absolute leader in his first polar bear season. On average 13.2 points, 4.1 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.7 rebounds, Hulls has contributed to 31 games for the Bremerhaveners. Thus, after Quincy Diggs (13.3 points), he was the second-best competitor in the team of the maritime team and at the same time the best passport. In addition, thanks to his unbelievable hit rate - Hulls drove a strong 51.3 percent of his attempts from "the city" and scores more than 94 percent of his draws, the US has quickly gained the reputation of being one of the league's best. Stats: 94.6 FT%, 51.2 3FG%, 50.9 FG%. http://dieeisbaeren.de/dreiergott-jordan-hulls-verlaengert-bei-den-eisbaeren/

  14. Laken Wairau will not return to Indiana for her junior season and will instead finish her time at the school as a student, the program announced Friday. The seldem-used 5-foot-10 guard played three total minutes last season. Wairau joined the Hoosiers during the semester break in December 2015 after playing four seasons at Christchurch Girls' High school in Christchurch, New Zealand. Little was known about her game when she joined the program, but she did help lead Christchurch to a National Championship in 2013. As a senior in New Zealand she averaged 16.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2.3 steals per game but was never able to translate that to the NCAA Division I level in the U.S. Wairau's exit continues a trend of significant roster turnover for Moren's team. Would-be rising sophomore guard Ria Gulley announced her intentions to transfer about a week ago and would-be rising junior guard Tia Elbert announced earlier this month she would graduate early and forego her final two years of eligbility. Throw in the fact that Indiana also lost five seniors to graduation and suddenly the roster is comprised of just six scholarship players with five true freshmen set to join the program this summer. https://indiana.rivals.com/news/laken-wairau-leaves-iu-women-s-basketball

Wise will finalize her decision by the end of May, her father said. Wise averaged 10.7 points and 7.6 rebounds during the 2015-16 season to earn ACC all-freshman team honors before again leading her team in points and rebounds as a sophomore. As a high school player, she was rated by ESPN as the nation’s No. 13 small forward in the class of 2015 and won a pair of Pennsylvania Class A titles with Vincentian Academy in Pittsburgh. Wise started all 61 of her games at Pitt, averaging 29.6 minutes. In accordance with NCAA transfer rules, she will sit out the 2017-18 season as a redshirt at her next destination, after which she will have two years of eligibility remaining.
  17. @hornets: In 62 total games this year, @CodyZeller tallied personal-best marks in six columns. 2016-17 Season In Review: http://on.nba.com/2q5VLFv Zeller tallied personal-best marks in scoring (10.3 points), rebounding (6.5), offensive rebounds (2.2), steals (1.0), double-doubles (six) and field-goal percentage (57.1 percent), the latter of which was the ninth-best rate in the NBA amongst players with at least 400 such attempts.
