This was never ever going to happen. The only reason the Pacers drafter Kawhi was because the trade was in place. That's not who they were taking with the pick. Side note - Pacers would have been a much better team this season if George Hill was on the roster. He can actually shoot and play defense.
-
Pretty sure he owned the end of the game yesterday in the post game press conference. His comments about his teammates got spun by national media. Go back and listen to the actual interview. He answered the questions he was asked honestly. PG has his faults, but that's not one of them in my opinion.

Pacers don't have enough money to re-sign Teague and sign Redick. That's without even mentioning Hayward or Lopez.
-
How many elite/cornerstone players exist in the NBA? PG is a top-12 player. There's 30 teams. He's the best the Pacers are going to get. If winning a title is the only end goal, most teams will never reach that goal. I agree it's definitely important. I want the Pacers to win a title as much as the next person, but it's also important be realistic. The likelihood of coming out of the East while LeBron around is slim.

Feel bad for PG. Pacers have to trade him this offseason. He's not going to resign. Pray Hayward doesn't make an All-NBA team and throw money at him. Fire Nate and Bird. Hire someone competent. I liked Vogel more than some, but this is just a poorly constructed roster. Not sure he could do a whole lot better with what the Pacers have now. There's a lot that needs to be done with this roster. I don't trust management to get it done or the coach to bring them together.

I'll probably try to catch some of the replay at 9pm. Really can't learn much from a spring game, but excited for some IUFB in my life.

I thought my 20-11 prediction was a bad as it could get. How naive of me.

Cincinnati may not win their first round game.. -
Fuchs, Danny Cameron, and Wesley Green suspended indefinitely.

Yep. PG is a top 12 NBA player. The odds of those picks turning out to be as good as PG? Slim. Better get picks, a prospect, and a proven player in a deal. I think PG is more likely to be moved on draft night than today.

A lot of it has to do with his personality and off court demeanor.

Stevens - Yes Donovan - Yes Tony Bennett - Yes Jay Wright - Yes Alford - No Archie Miller - Yes Sean Miller - Yes Holtman - BTC Nored - No Enfield - No Fife - No Gregg Marshall - BTC Bill Self - Yes Chris Mack - BTC Mark Few - Yes Stevens is a pipe dream. No reason for Self or Wright to leave. Mark Few would have been an outstanding hire in 2008. I think Mike White has a lot of potential. Without putting too much thought into it, that's what I get off the top of my head.

Only reason I would want Enfield at IU is so his wife could sit behind the bench and be on TV during every game.

(2017) QB Nick Tronti to IU

How is the Florida Mr. Football only a two star recruit? Does it have to do with his height? Seems odd to me. -
JBJ said he's working on graduating at the end of the year. Don't expect him to be back.

It's not supposed to. There are three different type of common ACL surgeries, but I don't think any make your more susceptible to another ACL tear, just general knee pain. This is speaking from experience and not research. If OG tore his ACL, I would imagine he would be back. The general recovery timeline is 4 months to straight-line running. 6 months to jumping and cutting. 9-12 months for full recovery. Teams would want to see if he lost any athleticism and he wouldn't be able to go through combine drills, and completing the drills would surely help his stock.

If you didn't want to see posts about firing Tom Crean, why would you venture into a thread that is literally titled Fire Tom Crean? Wouldn't your request for people to stop the "Fire Crean BS", mean you would to surround yourself by like-minded people?

That last video seems like a non-issue to me. Going for a lose ball, didn't want to smoke the coach by landing on him so he tried to move him out of the way. At this point though, everything he does is going to be watched and replayed 1000 times. He brought it on himself (with some help from the media) so he can't be too angry about it.
-
I don't like Crean as much as the next guy, but this simply isn't true. You hear coaches talk all the time about how well their team played and lost. Maybe that's not what they tell the team privately, but you hear it in the media a good deal. Last night's loss on it's own, isn't that bad. On the road against a pretty good Big Ten team with a veteran guard. Unfortunately, that result isn't an independent result. That's four losses in the last five games. I was a little more reserved on the expectations for this team than most, but it's been rough to watch this year. Not just the losing, but how the team is losing. I don't expect a change now or at the end of the season. Last year bought Tom some more time from Fred. Hopefully things turn around before the end of the season, there's still time, but I'm not optimistic. Not optimistic about next year either, when you look at returning players and incoming recruits. Sigh.

Still not happy about this game being on a Thursday.

Not sure where to put this, but Fant tweeted that he's coming back next season.
