  1. He took Archie's players and made the tournament twice. Not sure I'd say that, but they both suck.
  2. Sure, but he was spot on with his Kentucky prediction when everybody else had him at the bottom or not even on their list, is my point of putting the two together.
  3. Buzz Williams getting constantly mentioned screams "please give me a raise" to his current job.
  4. Could be meaningless, could not, but here's Mike DeCourcy's coaching list from Kentucky last year vs Indiana's this year: https://www.nationofblue.com/mike-decourcy-ranks-kentuckys-best-coaching-candidates/ https://www.sportingnews.com/us/ncaa-basketball/news/indiana-coaching-candidates-replace-mike-woodson/c5ffb93db41e78fb2b4af139
  5. National media guys talking about IU are hilarious. They're always like "IU sucks and the fans are delusional. Realistic coaching candidates: Brad Stevens, Bill Self, Mike Krzyzewski."
  6. Yeah I'm doing another good year, bad year, good year coach.
  7. One thing I do notice with all the coaching hot boards is that none of them think it'll get down to the mid major level. They all think it'll come from a coach currently at the P4 level.
  8. Yeah I mean the list did seem like he's just throwing names out there for interest. So often the actual coach that gets hired is never actually on these first lists of potential hires.
  9. https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/college/indiana/2025/02/07/indiana-basketball-coaching-candidates-who-will-iu-hire-to-replace-mike-woodson/77731461007/ I see Chris Beard or Mark Few are not on this list. Does this mean anything? Or is he just throwing names out there just because.
  10. The ability for IU haters to pretend we're somehow consistently a top 10 team and we just think it's not good enough is unmatched. We haven't been to the tournament in 3 straight years since the mid 2000's...
  11. Yeah if he is actually interested, he has to be number one priority in my opinion. Not only cause he would win big, but he could hand it off to one of his assistants. Just look at Lloyd in Arizona. I just think getting into the Few ecosystem would get us set for a long time.
  12. I think you know why most people are glossing over that and skipping to the other names.....
  13. Few has 41 wins in the tournament, good for 5th of all current coaches. The current IU players were children when this take was valid.
  14. Who else is there that isn't coaching right now? In drawing blanks apart from them.
  15. Saying this 2 months after Dolson's football hire had the best single season in program history is wild.
  16. Yeah sure you did. So you were not OK with that, but OK with him fighting a cop, shouting at opposing team fans, throwing chairs, using a whip on a player, firing a starting pistol at a reporter though?
  17. I've never choked a kid, but I still liked Knight as the head coach of IU, and I bet you do too.
  18. I assume you remember then that many did not want him fired after that happened, because he won a lot. Knight was old when Texas Tech hired him, that's why he never went anywhere else.
  19. Yeah, once you get to the point where your debating whether putting your hands on a student vs a woman is ok, the moral high ground argument is lost. Not to mention the awful quote about rape. Knight was not a good guy who was a great coach. And that's ok. But for many IU fans, there is such a disconnect between how we view Knight and how we view everyone else. People here would not have hired Bob Knight if they had the chance.
  20. Giving Archie more years won't magically make him a better coach. I don't understand the logic
  21. But we gave Archie 4 years to install his terrible offense?
  22. Awesome. Can't wait to remember this in 5 years when he's fully repaired his image and he's taken Ole Miss to a final four while we're floundering with whatever coach we decided to hire.
  23. Yikes. I supported the idea of Mccollum cause he wins a lot. This is a deal breaker. He's more Archie Miller than Archie Miller was.
  24. They were honestly harmless back then too, we for some reason felt the need to flog ourselves over it. Should've just backed him and taken the slap on the wrist, and gotten back to winning in a year.
