Zach Osterman lists mid major coaching options: Ben McCollum, Bucky McMillan, Jerrod Calhoun, Niko Medved, Ryan Odom, Alan Huss. Anybody think the next coach is one of these names?

Drake played one tournament caliber team, their best player had a terrible game, and they still won by 11 points?

Still very unlikely, but I'd hold off on saying there's no shot. Rumor is Louisville is having trouble getting money together for an extension after dealing with getting rid of Kenny Payne.

Wrong. Absolutely wrong. With Goodman and IU his reporting is never wrong, he just adds an insult to it. Like with Thad Matta, he said he was out. Then he added his own thing and said he couldn't believe IU fans thought they could get Matta.

So much of the tournament requires the bracket to break your way. I don't get too worked up over a lack of tourney success. Getting there every year like clockwork is more important.

I even believed it for awhile. Then I looked into it and read articles of him talking about UCLA and it did not sound like somebody wanting to leave. He clearly loves living in LA, he just doesn't like the cross country away games. Which honestly sounds like a fair trade.

Two weeks from today the second round will be finishing up. So close to finding out who the next coach will be.

Ben McCollum breaks the single season wins record at Drake year 1. If the idea that all the best coaches have broken their teams single season win total is to be believed, McCollum is an intriguing option. Still not my number 1 though.

That doesn't even scratch the surface of how garbage of a human being Knight was. Like you said, I am not endorsing Beard or hand waving what he did. Just pointing out the hypocrisy that we as a collective fan base was, and still is ok with ignoring the terrible person Bob Knight was.

Is hitting your wife the only measure of what makes a terrible person? He choked multiple students, made a joke about rape, fought with a cop, etc. and we still worship him.

Everything HH is hearing screams Dolson is playing everybody around IU like a fiddle. Nobody knows a dang thing.

Wait, you think some of the info that comes here is from Mike Woodson?! Now I've heard everything. He obviously knows a ton of people, I never said he didn't. To think Mike Woodson is the one pulling the strings behind the scenes leaking names is legitimately the funniest thing I've read all day.

If Woodson knows, then just about everybody would know, cause he'd be the last person at IU to find out the inner workings of the next coach search

If the hire is disappointing then we can stop pretending we're a basketball school and the trend towards football goes full steam ahead.
