  1. If IU hired Steve Kerr, I'd run my diploma through a shredder and mail the pieces to the athletic department
  2. IU has 790,000 grads. How many people total are on IU sports message boards? How many of those are IU grads? Not remotely representative of the actual fan base.
  3. TJ Otzelberger's wife is Australian. He's back in.
  4. He received a ride request from the Uber app to pick up someone at Clark County airport.
  5. Brad Stevens to Iowa! He wants to rejoin AD Beth Goetz: Brad Stevens is ‘a huge fan’ Goetz’s fans include Boston Celtics team president Brad Stevens, who worked with her when he led Butler men’s basketball to the national championship game in 2010 and 2011. “I’ve told everybody that would listen everywhere she’s been and everybody I know that she’s one of the best administrators and leaders I’ve ever worked with,” Stevens said in a phone call with The Gazette. Stevens described Goetz, who was an associate AD when they worked together at Butler, as a “super person with a super-high emotional quotient.” “I’m glad that she has found such success in college,” Stevens said. “If she didn’t, I was going to try to hire her.” Stevens has “constantly stayed in touch with her” as his career progressed from college basketball head coach to NBA head coach, to NBA executive of a team that was one win away from a trip to the NBA Finals this year. When Goetz’s Cardinals played at Penn State in 2021, Stevens traveled to State College, Pa. — 368 miles as the crow flies from Boston — to watch the game and attend the Cardinals’ pregame tailgate event. “I’m just a huge fan” of Goetz, Stevens said. “I just really, really respect her as a leader and a person.”
  6. Yes, because for the last month Dolson put the future of IU basketball and his career in the hands of a 16 year old girl
  7. Tough defense, crash the boards. Consistently one of the worst perimeter shooting teams in the country
  8. Not quite Breaking Bad set in the desert, but I’ll give you credit for a classic. IU’s AD has the IT department prevent him from asking Google who he should hire because A) that’s how he really wants to conduct the search, and B) he just can’t control himself
  9. Actually that strongly supports McCollum. He’s preparing his team for his first NCAAT. Doesn’t want distractions. They had to slap down the rumor. It suggests the media were over the target.
  10. Will we hire the winner or loser of the MAC tournament?
  11. Not if ILL offered 67-91M
  12. That’s a completely different argument. Nice strawman, though
  13. That’s great. My Dad was a Purdue grad. He and my older brother, big Purdue fans. I have as many ties to Purdue as Stevens has to IU. I graduated from IU and Butler. Purdue sucks.
  14. It’s bizarre. Stevens has zero ties to IU. So, he was an IU fan as a kid. When I was a kid, I was a Cowboys fan because they were good and on TV all the time. Haven’t been a Cowboys fan in decades.
  15. AH to be hosting “Brownouts”
  16. Bill Self and Roy Williams
  17. When has IU ever hired a “big fish” when they were hired? Sampson was probably closest, but he was under NCAA sanctions.
  18. Tom Allen was a mediocre HS head coach at Ben Davis. He’s a very good DC
  19. They occurred before Knight passed away
  20. Here's the problem with Donovan. Same reason UK moved on from him last year. He won't do anything until Bulls season ends.
  21. The weird thing is, he can beat Izzo and Painter, but not Collins or Hoiberg.
  22. INDIANAPOLIS — What do Gonzaga coach Mark Few and Hall of Fame coach Bob Knight have in common? For starters, they both love to fly fish, and Few revealed that he and Knight have had several discussions about coaching over the years – fishing poles involved. "We've had some great discussions....Just about coaching, in general. I had the opportunity to play his teams (when Knight was at Texas Tech) a couple times. I just try to sit and listen."
  23. Supposedly Dolson wants a coach who'll embrace the transfer portal. Smart used it the first year at Marquette, but not since. Only D1 school to not have a D1 inbound transfer in the past three seasons. He just doesn't believe in it unless absolutely necessary.
