I watched last year knowing Woodson was 99% dead man walking as a coach last year, and it felt like it didn't matter. I am ready to watch some meaningful games.
-
I am so ready to watch this team play.
-
If he is actually being honest, which I don't think he would otherwise be, and they are playing like they have been together for a while on offense, they should be a pretty good team. As long as they can build a solid foundation this coming year, we will be fine in DDV hands.

(2025) - C Andrej Acimovic to INDIANA
jermhoosierfan replied to Hoosierfanyuh's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
The one website had him at 206cm which comes out to about 81" which is 6'9". He might have got that 2 extra inches in about 18 months. Just get some muscle on it to bang underneath, and let's get him ready to give up those 5 fouls and hit the occasional 3. -

ESPN has stated that they will not ask them to change their show, but after a few months, you wonder if they will. Stephen A. Smith will be doing more on Sirius XM starting this Labor Day, but how much will he cut back on ESPN after signing his huge contract and will he show up from time to time on Inside the NBA? I haven't had cable in about 5 years, and I miss being able to watch several different games at night. BUT, I don't miss all the BS ESPN does do.

"We were unable to find alignment on my value to the company." In other words, they wouldn't pay me what I wanted. ESPN is hurting for money, and they aren't going to pay a whole lot for a NBA draft guy who they need just a few months of the year. They talk NFL draft stuff the whole year, and they shed some of that outside of Kiper.

When I Googled it, I got this from AI (for what it's worth). I don't see any of them leaving for another 5 years unless they sue, and who knows what can happen then. AI Overview In short, the primary reason why teams cannot easily leave the ACC is the Grant of Rights (GOR) agreement combined with significant exit fees. Here's a breakdown: Grant of Rights: This agreement, signed by all member schools, irrevocably grants their media rights to the ACC until 2036. Even if a school were to leave the conference, the ACC would still control the broadcast rights to its games, and the departing school wouldn't receive that revenue, according to Raleigh News & Observer. Exit Fees: Leaving the ACC also involves hefty financial penalties. The exit fee is currently around $165 million for fiscal year 2026, dropping incrementally until it reaches $75 million in 2030-31 and remaining there until the GOR expires.

Isn't there a yuge buyout if one of them leaves before their media right deal is over? From what I remember, that is what has been keeping FSU and Clemson from bolting the last few years.
-
And you wonder why there have been rumblings the last few years of the P4 breaking away from the NCAA to start their own league. The NCAA really needs to be more consistent with their rulings and not be so scared of being sued anymore.
-
And you would think that over time, the spending cannot keep going up like it is if there is no ROI for the donors. I don't know what that breaking point is, but there will have to be one at some point, right?
-
When I posted this morning, I didn't intend for him to be denied. The whole beginning vs. the end of the year is stupid. I really don't blame anyone to reorganizing the NCAA or making another organization.
-
LOL, yeah, I don't care for that, but it isn't my money they are getting.
-
Half way through July, and there has been no word on this decision yet? I can see why there are rumblings to give the NCAA a big middle finger and the P4 to form their own organization. It moves about as fast as a government entity.
-
Ok, stupid question, but I am actually wondering, three days, 16 teams, so how do they determine who is in the Championship game and third place game? With 16 teams, it should take almost 4 or 5 days to do that in a bracket situation. Do they (the powers that be) choose who played the best or by some rankings?

Good for him. One can have a pretty solid career in Europe to keep that dream of the NBA alive. -

In terms of information about the situation BTS on the BB team, this might be the winner. There was just a lot of stuff from a lot of different places, but that episode confirmed a lot of it.

I checked out the thread this morning, and then was just doing some surfing on ESPNs website keeping an eye on the tennis match this morning when I saw that article. I was wondering if they took the inspiration from that post. LOL

I thought the same. "Did he get get his waiver?" Nope, just some people getting impatient from not hearing anything.

He didn't take into account the brilliance of the King of Indiana in those rankings.

2025-2026 IUBB Schedule
jermhoosierfan replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Without having a early tournament this year, it should be a good test for a newly formed team to see just what they are made of. You have a cupcake before Marquette which will be a pretty solid team to go against for a team trying to gel. You don't want the full schedule of cupcakes to start out like I think Crean or Miller had to start with, but they will be tested in those P4 games. -
He said "some". Just how much are they able to get because he has a ton of shoes right there? I do wear a 13. Hmm

They are taking their sweet time with that waiver. At this rate, the semester will start before they find out.
