Transfer Portal w/IU Interest
BA47591 replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
He's been playing for 20 years. -
He'd be a fan favorite though. Is it possible that coaches know something we don't about the court case. It's a helluva gamble. Brzovic, Shefflin, Lampkin,,,any one of them would be a major get for us.

I'm concerned about the big man situation. I knew they would be at a premium nut right now I can't think of anyone off the top of my head that could be a late portal addition. DD aurelt has an idea of what he wants to do there. Defend the paint and rebound. -
Iowa got a good one today. Alvaro Folgueiras

That sounds like Randi Trew.

That dude is a game changer in the middle. A lot of people don't know he should've been a hs senior last year. As much as everyone blew Quaintence up as the center to get in the portal, I'd say they both are the same age and compare their stats. Thiam, Freeman, Curtis and Nyk Lewis, is my wish list. Add Miles to that and you would potentially have our 26-27 starting line-up in house this year. -

Curtis would be a great understudy to Bailey at the 4 getting some minutes at the 5. -

You still have Reneau syndrome brother. Bailey cannot play the 5 defensively. Not at any level. To quote one analyst "Bailey offers very little defensively, opponents feasted on him in the paint." Then you get into the numbers like opposition fg%, he might as well be putting the ball in the basket for them. He's slick offensively and has a huge assist rate though. Thiam would be the biggest get of the portal for us. He changes games defensively and on the glass. -

I think you're about right. I'm sure the year at Montverde helped him physically. Oddly, he went there to get wing reps and they had to play him predominantly at the 5. He can defend mumtiple positions. I think he's a great connector player, in the way that OG is. I'm not saying for a second he's OG Anunoby but that's how I see him impacting games at a similar size. -

I've felt like a Sherron would be a tremendous add to the staff and Singleton would be a great player to develop over the next 4 years. I know it's not likely, but imagine if he landed Singleton, Sisley and Mullins in his first year? -

Bucky plays elaborate defenses and I think this is just odd. Mgbako, played on an incredibly talented aau team and had God given shooting chops, but he was not a very intelligent young man and had never been coached. Honestly, N. Florida would've been perfect. They were 353rd I think in team defense and got up a crazy amount of 3s. He could add 25ppg there. -
I almost type in run rimmer, which is another thing altogether.

I think one thing that I would consider is contacting a couple of 2026 class kids and signing them to two year deals to reclass to this year. He offered a pair of 4☆ centers who are 6'11 270lb men in that class while at WVU. Just a thought. -

Jasai Miles is a Hoosier!!!!!

I think I am too. He's a young guy that we can have for 2 years that appears to be just scratching the surface. He was a 1☆ outta nowhere and looks like a humble and hungry kid. -

They shot a helluva lot of 3s down there. Between him and Murphy that just signed with Purdue, they put up 15 a game By the way, Josh Harris was a really good freshman for them at the 4 this year. He's still on the board. -

By mid year Miles will catch on to defense, they don't coach a ton of that at N. Florida, and be a really good 6th man for both TD and LW. His senior year he's going to be a star. Now please let's get a couple of bigs. 247 IU #4 Portal class -

There is some overlap between Woody and DD offers in the 26'%27' classes. Anthony Thompson, Gabe Weis, and Baba Oladotun. The later being a DMV kid. Some interesting names Sabastian Wilkins , Darron Rippey, Ollie's Onyejiaka all have offers from DD. -

Davidson has had a great track record of developing bigs they can run their offense through. Bailey is the latest. He took a big jump between his so and Jr year. I watched him a couple of times and thought he was a Greg Gard 4. I'm expecting him to be Tyler Wahl. Temper expectations a little. I'm thinking 12ppg, 5rpg, 3apg. He really struggles defending in the paint. -
Khaman Maker is a rum protector. Set the bench at St. John's his freshman year. I think there's a lot there.
