It’s sad that college basketball has come to Ole Miss and IU bidding for Ballo. This NIL **** has to have a cap! If Trilly is correct Ole Miss offered him $1 million and IU countered with $1.2 What happened to the days where Ole Miss was comparable Ivy Tech when they were competing with IU for a basketball play. Something has to be done to control this modern day Wild Wild West NIL.

Imo Woodson needs to develop some continuity on his team. The fact the he has to replace almost half of his scholarship players each year via the portal isn’t the way to do it. He needs a balance of older and younger players, aka high school players. Also, the college game has primarily been guard driven and as of late IU is where shooters come to die. There no way if my son was a guard I’d let him have anything to do with this style of offense. Throw in the fact that Woodson appears to be a lame duck coach, I think it’s going to be a challenge for him to get some good guards out of the portal. A lot of teams have done a lot better with less talent because those teams have good guard play and that’s what IU has been missing for the past 6+ years. Btw, I think the reason IU can’t find any shooters is because IU is cursed by the ghost of Matt Roth..lol

I’m can’t help but wonder why people take what someone says on a message board as the gospel? If I accept everything that someone with sources post on every platform Stevens would have been IU’s head coach since Archie was hired. This all for amusement folks and is a place for me to get away from all the depressing political news and all that other crap ie…Doyle.

Coach Portal finally got that elusive knock down shooter with Tucker. Wait, wait, who am I kidding! Tucker is know for his mid range game.

I feel that the in state recruiting is only going to get tougher for Coach Portal and his staff. Strews and May are bad enough, but when the new teams from the pac come in they’ll also put a lot of pressure on him because they will have more success recruiting in state because their families will be able to watch them play now. The 25’ class will be serious doubt with a new coach coming in and having to play catch up. I live in Lafayette so I guess I can always go see the in state kids play anytime I want!

Long time reader, first time poster. Coach Portal should have been shown the door at seasons end and definitely after his lone recruit left. It’s obvious that coach Portal and his staff doesn't want to put in the effort that it takes to be a good recruiter, let alone a great recruiter. The writing was on the wall when MM’s mom contacted coach Portal about her son wanting to play at IU! Now the team is going to go from a $hit show to one of a liquid form next year and a new coach won’t have a chance at getting his hooks into the 25’ class of in state players. It’s sad. I’ve been an IU fan for over 40 years now and I’ve never been so down on any team that I support in any sport, btw I’m a Cubs fan. I feel it’s only going to get worse because who would want to play for a lame duck coach that has split the fan base? I’m not a rocket scientist nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn, but I’d guess there aren’t very many! Btw Chris 007 keep doing what you do! Who cares if someone is butt hurt over something you said!
