  1. I don't view it as judgement, I view it as unnecessary risk.
  2. I don't know man, being staunchly against domestic violence doesn't really feel like being self-righteous. Maybe he didn't do it, the police report and opinions of the officers are pretty damning, but someone else can take the chance on Beard. I'd rather find someone else, even if they don't win as many basketball games.
  3. Cashy talks down to everyone, that's why she's not popular here. Plenty of people have posted similar things to her with a much more casual but respectful tone. She/he is not the only person with possible inside information that can talk in extremely general terms to sound correct.
  4. Well Tom Izzo and Coach K would disagree, they pushed fast break opportunities as a large part of their offense. They also had great half court offense, but getting fast break opportunities was paramount to both coaches. They've had some tourney success. All of those guys know a lot more basketball than me though.
  5. Archie was a very popular hire within Indiana and around the country. Results were pretty ****, but the hire was very popular. Even Bob Knight liked the hire. Bob Knight praised Archie Miller, the head coach of Indiana University's men's basketball team, by saying, "This kid (Miller) is going to do a good job". Knight also said, "You folks are going to appreciate him, but it ain't gonna happen in a year
  6. There are some people here who either support domestic violence or find it socially acceptable at the very least as long as basketball games are won. I'm all for second chances, but not further risking the already shaky moral reputation of the athletic department representing the largest and flagship public institution of learning in the state. There are more coaches out there than Chris Beard who can win big at Indiana and will take the job without increasing risk for another embarrassing termination.
  7. You can add Mike Davis failed at mid-major UAB before turning things around at a low major, Texas Southern, and then failed again at Detroit Mercy. Only Kelvin Sampson has won at a high level post-IU, and he's the only one that didn't get fired for losing too many games.
  8. It's also on those individuals, not the fanbase.
  9. I believe there is a small subsection of the fanbase that is taking it too far. I believe a meeting like that is probably necessary. However, I have some doubt whether the meeting was to address the actual, serious issue in whole or to deflect some blame of failure to the fanbase. I have no inside knowledge here, just vibes as the kids say.
  10. She is not a person to take seriously, that was become apparent.
  11. What kind of resume would that be? If you are comparing bubble teams, how many make it in without any real good wins.
  12. I think the OSU win and a close loss (as ugly as it was) buys him another week.
  13. He's the Fort Wayne International Airport of International Airports in comparison.
  14. OK, how so? To me he seems like one of the few.
  15. This is the same way my 4th grade girls team executed the play yesterday. We still pulled it out 18-16 though.
  16. I feel bad for him, too. He cares, he's putting in all the effort he can. He deserves more.
  17. I am having a visceral reaction to that last 30 seconds.
  18. OK I'm gonna need Cashy to explain to me how this is my fault along with the rest of the fanbase.
  19. If CM is an issue, as the head of the program, why wouldn't Woody replace him with someone else?
  20. It's still Mike Woodson's responsibility to talk to Cliff Marshall about what he wants, though. If MW believes there's an issue and he's not talking to Clif about it, then MW is to blame, not Cliff.
  21. I did, however, party in the villas before.
  22. Emotional, visceral? It's easy to troll you and your emotional attachment to some old way that was never as pristine as made out to be. Anyway VPN is back up and I am expected to get something done at work today unfortunately! Fire Mike Woodson today! He's obviously not able to be a successful basketball coach at Indiana University and will end in objective failure. No one has to wait for anything to end the Mike Woodson era. He was a great player and noted alumni, but as a coach he has failed, objectively.
  23. It's just Ckatchy. The rest of us are pretty united and mostly rational here. There's really only one contrarian.
