Yeah I could definitely see a path to me wearing that "We're Back" shirt quickly, but I would want to wait and see a minute. -

Cronin always finishes in the top half of the conference and mostly top 4 as well. I wouldn't hate a Cronin hire, but I wouldn't be busting out my "We're Back" shirt yet either. -

Or it's time to go find another forum. You aren't going to force through sheer will your opinion on everyone else. Either it's being an antagonist you love, or you're in the wrong group. -

That's an interesting possibility, but hard to conceive he'd be fully interested. -

His connection to RMK is a nice story for me, but it doesn't move the needle much. Mike Davis, Mike Woodson, Randy Wittman, Dan Dakich, Isiah Thomas, and Pat Knight all had RMK connections, too. I love his desire for the job, and it does mean something to me. Although, he'd still be at Texas over IU if they let him. Also, credible DV allegations and a possible substance abuse problem not addressed just scream no unless he starts to really take responsibility for those issues and shows real growth ala Steve Sarkisian. -

He would crawl through glass, the glass from the empty bottles probably, to get to Btown. -

Would the same people be ok with a heavily religious Muslim coach who preached Islam to the team? I actually don't think I have a problem with Scott Drew's "religiousness." I actually had a good friend who was an assistant for him at Valpo. There was a lot of talk but the actions were not as true to the word we'll say. I think some of it is for image and PR, which can help win fans in the South and Midwest, and definitely in Indiana. Religion is being used in this country right now as a weapon at times and a shield at times though, so I'm a little sensitive about it, admittedly. -

I have no problems with people who are deeply religious personally. I have no problem with people stating their beliefs. The problem is when religious people think they have the only truth and force it on others. If someone can be personally deeply religious and respect others' different religious beliefs, I'm 100% good. One of my best friends is a deeply religious Catholic and I am a staunch agnositic. We have respect for one another and each other's journey to beliefs that cannot be proven. -

Being heavily involved with religion definitely doesn't equal being morally good. I think thats one distinction some of us are kind of saying. Another is that pushing a specific flavor of religion onto others via peer pressure or team culture is not in line with the university's mission. If Drew is personally very religious, that's his choice and I support his freedom of choice. If he requires or influences the team unduly in anyway to follow his religious beliefs, then that's a problem. I have no idea if that's the case, just the arguments I'm seeing. The guy can coach though for sure. -

I think the point is that the compliance department turned it in in the first place as opposed to not handling it internally and/or not cooperating with the NCAA like all other high profile institutions have done that they end up investigating. I believe Dakich basically forced it to be that way. He was on a crusade that he's never stopped. -

This is the weird vibe I get as well. The way he talks down to his audience is gross since he's really become a gossip and rumor peddler and not a basketball guy. Since they got in bed with the Hysterics, he's been a character, not a journalist. Those guys are the Kardashians of Indiana basketball. -

When Rabby would talk about Braden Smith, he would talk about his defensive inefficiencies as a reason he might not be a top power conference recruit. I think Rabby is projecting his own change in thought onto everyone else. -

So everyone who doesn't believe RTZ roots for the bad stuff? I want BS to be the coach, but I don't believe in 90% of what message board insiders say, no matter the message board. Especially when evidence and logic is to the contrary. No offense meant on that, but getting wrapped in unlikely conspiracies doesn't mean certain fans root for the bad stuff. -

Yeah he was. However, that was not the big narrative surrounding him prior to being the Indiana coach. Again, he was highly lauded by just about everyone when he was hired. -

Brad Stevens as an option is very good for me$$age board and blogger engagement. There will be Brad Stevens rumors by "insiders" in different spaces until a coach is named.
