Why on Earth would Woodson spend 4 years recruiting Haralson if he was never going to play with Sisley and vice versa? Woodson has spent more personal time with Haralson than any other recruit to date. No chance Woodson lets Sisley commit if that was actually the case. To insinuate Sisley and Haralson was a “whoever commits first” type of recruitment is laughable.

It’s certainly plausible but not sure why Cassidy would feel obligated to remove information that he feels is accurate at the request of the family? It’s his job to break stuff like this. I think it’s more than likely that Cassidy’s source came back and said he got inaccurate information and that’s why it was removed.

If you got the money, spend it. The optics of losing two high profile in-state guys (who you were in on long before anyone else) is worse than overpaying. Can overpay for Mullins and Haralson and still get a top portal big and potentially a PG if Rice leaves.

Haralson is a plug and play type prospect who meshes in a variety of lineups. I wouldn't get too caught up in his position. He can facilitate offense in the half court just as much as he can slash/drive from the perimeter.

I don't see Cignetti leaving IU after 1 year unless it's for a program that has legitimate means and resources to contend for a national championship nearly every single year. The only job likely to be open that remotely offers that is the Florida job. If Florida wants Cignetti there's likely nothing Dolson can do. But that's if Florida wants Cignetti. I'd think a lot of people would have to say no before Cignetti ever gets a call and Florida isn't really a job you say no to. On paper it's one of, if not the top job in college football. The board of regents have already met at Florida to work out Napier's $26 million buyout 3 weeks into the season, they aren't going to buyout Billy Napier just to hire Curt Cignetti.

Not sure it helps or hurts other than it means we don’t have to wait another month for him to make a decision. This has felt like a two team race for awhile now; IU and Michigan State. Notre Dame and evidently Purdue still in the running.

Had an SC buddy (and alum) text our group "IU has reportedly offered $2mil and a guarantee starting spot for Lewis" in the last week. No clue on the veracity of the source and I'm not sure he knows either. Doesn't seem like that jives with anything Cignetti has displayed so far but that seems to be the rumor SC fans are running with. SC has lost several commits this recruiting cycle citing lack of NIL funds.

There's a football player at Miami playing in his 9th season. He was in the same recruiting class at Oregon with Justin Herbert who is entering his 5th season in the NFL. I wouldn't put anything past the NCAA at this point. Assuming Goode stays healthy the entire year, he will have finished his career playing essentially 3 1/3 seasons. In an age where guys are playing 5 and 6 seasons on the regular, giving Goode an extra year doesn't seem as preposterous as it once did regardless of previous precedent.

Haralson isn’t coming here to play off the bench. That I do know. Now if one of Carlyle or Rice leaves Tucker could find his way into the starting lineup, but if Rice, Carlyle, and Haralson are all on the roster at this time next year, that’s your starting back court unless one of them is injured.

I think Carlyle has a much higher NBA ceiling than Rice given his ability as a true scorer to go along with being younger and less questions about health. Rice would have to play at an AA level next year to get drafted in my opinion. If Carlyle can an effective scorer with consistent range beyond the 3 point line, he’ll absolutely test the waters. I think Carlyle has the most volatile role on the team next year.

I look at it this way, Galloway is gone next year and so is Mgbako unless he just absolutely bombs. Truthfully that’s somewhere between 50-55 mpg (and a starting spot) that just became available to split between Haralson and Mullins. If you potentially add someone like Mikel Brown and can’t find minutes for him, well that’s a good problem to have. Means you’re absolutely loaded in the backcourt.

I don't doubt Shaw's sources when it comes to his UK intel because UK is definitely a major player for BM, but it's laugh out loud funny to say that IU is merely "in the mix".
