Scott Drew had an exceptional season during COVID and hasn't duplicated anything close to that while at Baylor the last 20+ years. We call these outliers.

Pretty wild that you're so dismissive of Cronin but consider Drew a home run. Yes Drew has a national title, and yes that inflates his overall NCAAT record, but Scott Drew is the king of first weekend exits. Honestly one of the biggest knocks on him, that and his teams generally don't play defense (which lead to early exits) and he's barely over .500 in the B12. I say that and I like Scott Drew a lot. But Scott Drew and Mick Cronin are very similar coaches in my opinion and you're completely dismissive of one and falling over for the other.

Have you watched IU the last 30 years? This program has fallen significantly.

An ounce of common sense, not to mention any semblance of optics, made it pretty clear Brad Stevens wasn’t going to be the next coach. 1. Left college in 2014 2. Walked away from coaching altogether in 2021 3. Assembled a championship winning franchise 4. Has the best roster in the NBA secured for the foreseeable future 1+1 usually equals 2. Whatever equation signals Brad Stevens coaching IU is why statistics is still an extremely tough course to pass.

Like I said, if you thought Brad Stevens (considering his situation) was going to be the next coach…that’s a you problem not a me problem. Stop listening to Chris.

Cronin and Wade would easily be the most qualified coaches since Sampson. What you mean?

I root for IU. Don’t overthink this.

Wade Cronin Don’t need to over complicate things

I go to an away event a year, the first being the Great Alaskan Shootout when we bowed out to Dwayne Wade. Always have. East Coast Millennials with an opinion who don’t have a clue about this storied program always gives me a kick.

I told this board 4 weeks ago Stevens wasn’t coaching IU. Put me down for a check mark in the track record.

I’m a 54 year old (divorced) double major who is a die hard IU fan. I’ve tweeted maybe 4 times (last time in 2016) none about IU basketball. Honored I occupy this much space in your head. Honored really.
