  1. They’ve already whiffed on McCollum and Calhoun so he may actually end up being in play.
  2. Probably going to be the most sought out player in the portal after Dent. Believe he’s from the Houston area originally, seems like a guy who would thrive under Sampson.
  3. Enright. Also receiving interest from Texas Tech, Iowa State, and Colorado per the same article.
  4. And that's where I'm at. If he's the worst player you add this portal season, you're in great shape. But he's a reliable piece whom I believe DeVries trust and will be on the floor more times than not. Cannot have 5 players on the floor at once whose mentality is to shoot the ball every time they touch it.
  5. I think Enright compares favorably to a guy like Michael Lewis, someone who CSP is unfamiliar with or at least too young to recall his playing days. Nothing flashy or exciting about ML's game. But always got the job done and put his teammates in a position to succeed. Surround Enright with a great supporting cast and he's more than a competent player at this level. Could compare him to PJ Thompson as well at Purdue.
  6. Enright's familiarity with DeVries system, his leadership, competitiveness, and hustle is why he'll play heavy minutes for IU next year. May not "start" games but will be a key piece to the rotation throughout. For the record, I don't really care about his size rather showing his measurables are adequate for this level of play despite one poster being adamant that he's undersized.
  7. I'm going off DePaul's website just like I did for every other player I listed. Every one is entitled to their own opinion.
  8. Conor Enright is 6'2 180 lbs and started at a P5 school this last season. Will play heavy rotation minutes for DeVries if not outright starts, although finishing the game is what matters. https://depaulbluedemons.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/conor-enright/3811
  9. Did not compare their skillsets, only their size which according to you is a detriment since Enright is bigger than all of them lol.
  10. Yeah, he played on a bad DePaul team with a poor supporting cast and was probably asked to do too much. When CJ Gunn is your best perimeter player....you're going to have problems. I think in a system that he's familiar with, surrounded by scorers, he's fine to run the offense for 20 some minutes a game.
  11. I agree with your premise. Enright's size isn't a concern in the least.
  12. Wasn't my claim, it was @IUGRAD06claim My post completely debunks @Certified Sunshine Pumperclaim from yesterday that he's too small to start in the B10. Clearly he's not
  13. You don't know what you're talking about. Below are the heights/weights of the starting PG's remaining in the S16 (taken straight from each school's website) Auburn---Tahaad Pettiford 6'1 175 Michigan---Tre Donaldson 6'3 195 Ole Miss---Sean Pedulla 6'1 195 Michigan State--Tre Holloman 6'2 185 Florida---Walter Clayton Jr 6'3 195 Maryland--Ja'Kobi Gillespie 6'1 186 Texas Tech---Elijah Hawkins 5'11 160 Arkansas---Boogie Fland 6'2 175 Duke--Tyrese Proctor 6'6 183 Arizona--Caleb Love 6'4 205 BYU---Egor Demin 6'9 215 Alabama--Mark Sears 6'1 190 Houston---LJ Cryer 6'1 200 Purdue---Braden Smith 6'0 170 Kentucky--Lamont Butler 6'1 208 Tennessee---Zakai Zeigler 5'9 172 At 6'2 185, Enright is as tall or taller than 11/16 starting PG's left in the tournament. His size is not an issue, clearly.
  14. He was top 20 nationally in assist rate last year despite playing with a very subpar supporting cast. His TO rate at Drake was fine.
  15. Will probably be one of the most coveted player in the portal but this guys story is awesome. Elite shot blocker with range out to the 3 point line. Could potentially be a lottery pick. Zero star recruit https://x.com/cbbcontent/status/1904288197171151335?s=46&t=w6QCfPv_ohX9q670DTqgcA Forgot tweets don’t link. Magoon Gwath San Diego St
  16. Yeah and that’s the fear I believe people have. They’re nowhere close to the same player. Leal is the definition of heart and hustle, but he was relatively low skilled. Enright a much better dribbler, passer, and shooter than Leal.
  17. Completely different players who aren’t even really comparable. Yesufu was an undersized 2 guard who couldn’t shoot.
  18. The best player in the B10 this year is 6 foot 170 lbs on a good day. What are you talking about size for?
  19. Tucker played in 8 games for West Virginia last year. They didn’t have a volume 2 guard either. So yes the need for a Javon Small type PG not only made sense, but was needed. I’m just telling you, if your 1, 2, and 3’s mentality is to shoot the ball every time they touch it next year, you’re going to have issues. Again, I will withhold judgement on Enright until the roster is set. But if our 2-4 looks something like Conwell, Powell, DeVries then yes I want a PG who doesn’t turn the ball over while facilitating the offense. Maybe DeVries wants a ball dominant PG like Small and will surround him with 3 and D type players, I don’t know. But roster construction is a real thing and you need guys who not only fill but understand and embrace certain roles.
  20. It’s above 2:1. DePaul’s best player last year was CJ Gunn…think about that? Somebody has to distribute the ball to Tucker and god forbid somebody like Ryan Conwell. You don’t need a 20 pt scoring PG who takes 15 shots a game if that’s who you have out on the wing.
  21. He’s one player lol. He also lead the Big East in assists before getting hurt. Is he a 35+ mpg lead guard? Of course not, have not seen a single person suggest that. Can he play 20-25 mpg surrounded by shot makers and scorers? Yeah, absolutely.
  22. I generally do not understand the angst in adding Enright? You’re potentially needing to fill 13-15 roster spots. How anyone can attribute adding a veteran leader with years of experience in DeVries system as anything but a good thing is beyond me.
  23. Kind of with you on Freeman, really good offensively around the rim but not a very good defender or rebounder given his size. He'll be a substantial downgrade from Kalkbrenner who could defend without fouling and protect the rim. Dix I have no problem with but worry about him defensively especially if you're pairing him with DeVries. That's not a ton of athleticism out on the perimeter.
  24. Louisville ended up with Kelsey because they: a) whiffed on Scott Drew b) whiffed on Dusty May c) couldn't afford Cronin's buyout Louisville could have hired Beard after b and c failed and still chose to hire Pat Kelsey. That speaks volumes.
  25. Agreed. Best to reserve judgement until the roster is finalized. You add Tucker, Powell, and god forbid a 2 guard like Ryan Conwell, you don’t need a score-first PG hunting looks every time down. In fact, could potentially be detrimental.
