  1. Every transfer by Conwell has been prompted by a coaching change. Brian Gregory was fired from South Florida, Schertz left ISU for St. Louis, and Sean Miller obviously is now leaving Xavier for Texas. Definitely not the college basketball we grew up with but that's the current state of the sport.
  2. That or he doesn't want his phone blowing up every minute for the next week or two. With agents, it's smart to do it this way if you're a player of Conwell's caliber.
  3. Crean landed a ton of Indiana Elite kids back when Adams was a lower level staffer. Got Hickman to transfer from Bradley to Cincinnati this offseason and was at Bradley because of Adams in the first place. Guys like Moreno, Bidunga, Mullins, etc choosing Kentucky, Kansas, and UConn over Cincinnati isn't an indictment on Drew Adams in my opinion. I wouldn't love the hire but also understand why you would hire him. Obviously if he isn't delivering recruits, especially from Indiana, his leash would need to be short...but recruiting at Indiana is a lot easier than recruiting at Cincinnati.
  4. If he doesn't follow Miller to Texas I would think very realistic. He's a Pike high school grad who has had back to back excellent years at Indiana State and Xavier. Haven't had a scoring 2 guard like him in years.
  5. Chatter that he's in line to become one of the assistants.
  6. I think every staff needs a guy who specializes in recruiting. We've missed on a ton of Indiana Elite guys alone, the last few cycles. If Adams was on the previous staff and had landed guys like Mullins, Moreno, Bidunga, etc I don't think we'd really care what else he did on the bench.
  7. He still played 4 full seasons and eclipsed the 30% threshold in the one season he didn't play. I don't know names of specific players, maybe this will be further known as the Luke Goode rule once he's granted a medical waiver.
  8. No he didn't lol. Marcus Domask had played 4 full years of college basketball and tried to get a 6th year. Luke Goode has played 3 and 1/3 seasons.
  9. Which NCAA rule gave Cam McCormick 9 years of eligibility? Nothing in their rule book that's for sure.
  10. Saw Wooley on TV a couple of times this year. Not sure how this kid ended up at Kennesaw State. Would guess he's Alabama bound seeing that he's from Tuscaloosa. Can't imagine Oats missing on him twice.
  11. Of course I don’t think you’re hearing much and it’s by design. IU hasn’t officially announced any assistants who are probably back channeling until they’re formally announced.
  12. You think Mich, UofL, and UK’s rosters were set within 3 days of the portal opening?
  13. Write down the number of players currently in the portal today and then multiply it by 2 or 3. That’s the number that will be in there in a week. Patience young grasshopper.
  14. It’s very likely the NCAA isn’t going to put up a big fight. In an era where the NCAA has given out 6th and 7th year waivers like candy, giving Goode a 5th year after only playing 3 and 1/3 seasons doesn’t seem totally far-fetched.
  15. Elite wing defender
  16. As long as X remains committed to keeping a competitive NIL pool, he will do extremely well there.
  17. Very good hire. Richard Pitino is an excellent coach who was put in an almost impossible situation to succeed at Minnesota....and he had some decent to really good years there for Minnesota standards. Guy won the NIT at 31 years old.
  18. He's tied to Sunrise Christian Academy which has produced a ton of high level players the last decade.
  19. The same rules apply. DeVries wouldn’t be recruiting Enright if he didn’t think he could play at this level…clearly.
  20. You’re lying to yourself if you don’t think coaches prefer continuity and familiarity. Why did Cignetti bring damn near his entire staff and some 17-18 players with him from JMU, many who were recruited at the FCS level, to the B10 if it’s just “football”.
  21. My last comment about Cadeau was completely TIC. Enright and Cadeau’s numbers are very comparable and Enright would be a fourth of the cost and has two years experience in DeVries system.
  22. Dudes stats are almost identical to Enright’s while playing with a much better supporting cast. Plus he’s too small to start in the B10.
  23. Not really. I’d like to think he’s a lot more mature at 38 than he was at 18…think most people are.
