Garzon 3 for 17 shooting Chloe at crucial moments in 2nd half 4 bad plays in a row including 3 turnovers…other than that played a good game including making USC guard work for her points. Bargesser played outstanding defense and overall played well. IU Ladies needed more from Ciezki offensively. Defensively good. As T. Moren stated post game (including UCLA) IU Ladies had good shots. They have to make shots.

Coach Woodson regarding outside noise towards himself and team after Ohio State win: Again it just shows the character of this team. I don’t even want to comment about the outside noise. It’s ridiculous.
-
B and W may be out to night having a glass of wine on how to scheme a plan if you want to beat Ohio State before overtime and NW in the same week then give us more NIL money (maybe a raise to).
-
Coach: My NIL is better than The Ohio State NIL
-
Happy coach. Now getting ready for NW.
-
The damm held. Coach enthusiastic smile with arms up in air. Enthusiasm for him. Coach and team lives for another day.

They came as paid Individuals and they play as paid Individuals.

IU about ready to go down by 7or 8. Make it 7. A little crack in the damm and starting to drip. I expect a leak to spring by half….And the damm to break with about 12 minutes to go in the second half.

No. Just oh uhm going thru pregame motions (unenthusiastically) Fish questions were polite and pointed but answers are pretty much reruns.

Pre game Coach Woodson: Illinois…we just got to get off to a better start. We didn’t give ourselves a chance. Fish: where is the team right now mentally: Coach: well there’s alot of basketball to play. We have to play a full game. Fish: You are dealing with some injuries. Coach: Yes, we have enough players. Things are tough on the road. We just have to play and see where it goes. Fish: Good luck tonight. Coach: Thank you.

Wisky was put in that situation about 20 years ago in Basketball. And the interim coach did very well. Wisky didn’t blink an eye and hired a different coach and he was successful long term as well. I am not in favor of interim coach unless something makes it mandatory….which is not out of the realm of possibility.

Regarding Parrish: just a general statement. coming out of high school ranked # 8 at a 98 per ESPN. That is strong. At Oregon as a freshman was used as a spot up shooter. At IU her game has been extensively expanded. (Increases injury risk…she is a rough talented player). She is a great all around player and her past years at IU she had help. It’s hard for her this year with her very high competitive attitude level and talent level with less around her and plus in reality playing with injury. She will probably ( high %) be fine and successful after graduation. It would have been great to see her during her final year at almost 100% (she is not). Wish her the best.

L.M. (and T. Moren should have known this) has always been limited for big ten upper echelon talent. It was mainly hoping. She is adequate in backup role at this level. Last night and other games this year IU Ladies spot Illinois and other teams 5 to 7 or 8 points at the start of game because of L.M. post play. Then, leading to a question, though she has some limitations as well is how much better would Striplin be in a starting role and IU Ladies be. I get it T. Moren or coaching staff showing loyalty to the L.M. and may have talked to both players about this. Overall, Striplin is just the better player.

Coach Woodson: agrees with you and did refer to big ten if any action was to be taken. He had a dismissive tone.
