O’boy, O’boy, O’boy, O’boy….or should I say O’ girl, O’girl, O’girl, O’girl. Pondering: does Purdue win streak stay alive this season? Pondering again: when does Makalusky make a not a couple but a few shots? (Get her in mindset she is going to play, rebound and play her more minutes) (physical contact and roughing up a little in game to get her better acclimated/comfortable).

Top 50. Then top 10. Then top 5.

Makalusky…13 minutes; 2 offensive rebounds and one defensive rebound = 3 rebounds. Doesn’t sound like much but play her more minutes now = see if confidence will grow and shooting % will improve. It would give another taller player. Increase playing time to 26 minutes and from there after 4 or 5 games. Makalusky is going to end up as a starter somewhere down the road anyway.

Like a 1940s-1950s scoreboard. So do IU Ladies lose by 30 vs Florida State or is this a secret strategy vs Florida State on Sunday. UCONN lopsided win vs Florida State as would be expected. Florida State has a couple lopsided wins vs lesser competition. Transfer from Maryland/Allie Kubek Maryland transfer now playing for FSU. Maybe, T. Moren could tell Makalusky and team to have Makalusky to shoot the 3 ball 5 times in a row on offense. She has shot a couple. Surely she can hit one.

Yes, excellent addition of players and coaches in IU Ladies basketball program. I agree class rankings are similar to a misleading weather forecast. For one thing some of the classes in top elite programs who may have only one or two recruits listed because their respective programs are already loaded are ranked behind IU Ladies class. Plus a few programs are still in play for the few top players remaining. However, things are better along with probably 15 to 20 other major programs in major conferences. Overall, things are tougher than what they were just a few years ago.

Coach Cignetti sure has made Pam Whitten a better Indiana University President and Scott Dolson a much better Indiana University AD…..because they are always right in the middle of the action supporting the Indiana University football program success….. Sidenote: Scott D is supportive of other athletic programs as well and one of the strengths of Pam W is her support of athletic programs much more so than recent IU presidents.

Maya Makalusky once in a great while/not often in high school would make a quick determined move to the basket….it seemed when she got the courage/confidence to do so. -

I think Stotjin got hot at Arkansas towards end of last year as a shooter. Makalusky in high school has always been pretty stiff and not fast. However, IU Ladies need another big on the floor. Actually, though I think Makalusky needs to be a starter both Stotjin and Makalusky can play somwhat divided minutes depending on performance. Use Kadlecova as a utility player as needed. Makalusky sister played pretty well at Butler and started scoring as time went on and Maya was quite a bit better player of the two. -

As time goes on by necessity and not a star but solidly Makalusky is going to have to find her way as a starter on the floor for a few rebounds, 10 points a game with some physicality. It’s just a matter of time until she is inserted into the the starting lineup. -

Another practice, repetitions, and strategies game -
T. Moren adjusted team to some Garzon flaws both, defensive and offensive, but not all of them. T. Moren challenged and set plays for Garzon to go and play inside on the offensive end to go along with her 3 point shooting plus getting to ft line. T.Moren spent a whole season doing this with Garzon and (Garzon did get better at it) a slow and pretty challenging process for Garzon.

UCLA Ladies basketball is playing a really challenging schedule through December 6; the next month. Several excellent challenging games coming up early in the season for UCLA.

Basketball coach has an excellent resume that should work out well big time for IU basketball program. However, the football program thus far is a steaming at a high rate of speed locomotive speeding down the tracks. IU men’s basketball is just starting to leave the train station….. good start doing what they are supposed to do beating up an Alabama A& M team.

Tremendous sizable coaching advantage for IU vs Penn State. That’s the difference in a head coach and staff making the big money based on elite winning tradition vs a program in disarray led by assistant coach/coaches….Expecting a Penn State team in disarray to be exploited into a solid to big IU take no prisoners win.

For some reason when T. Moren became IU coach I seen a product I liked and T. Buss and A. Cahill and program growth. Eventually, I was season ticket holder once 2 sets. Even when IU Ladies were at their best I attended games whenever I wanted; Sunday afternoons, early evenings or mid evening game vs Oklahoma. 50 miles away. I never used all tickets. I liked parking and open seating based on when you arrived vs the year it went to reserved seats etc. I like simple.Lol.
