IU Ladies Reset into another winning streak beginning Friday. (In tournaments…big ten teams know each other, especially March Madness you have to guard 3 ball and hit 3’s yourself…Princeton almost had IU beat last year and remember Arizona). And Maryland killed Iowa with 3 ball and all kinds of shots last week. Caveat, it was on Maryland home court.

Maybe a 50 50 call and you may get the call in middle of game and more of chance on home court and lesser chance of getting call with 1.5 seconds last shot.

Last 1.5 just wasn’t good. However, Iowa executed the last 1.5. and IU Ladies did not and were executed…on.

The last 1.5 seconds there are a couple things in hindsight from clanging last ft off rim ( have to make sure you hit rim) creating scramble for ball to double team Clark, to putting Wisne or most likely Geary in game to guard in bounds pass (jumping up and down with her long arms waving and extended. However, disappointed in that IU Ladies allow Clark to score 30+ in both games (though first time it worked in IU’s favor)….game 2 continued to drive and score and hitting shots. Where is a better defensive strategy….and success would be 22 to 24 points. Maryland (@ Maryland) held Clark to 10 points.

Agree. However, I think last winning plays are always way over hyped. Yes, they are fun for the winners. In this case be ahead by 4 or 5 points and it doesn’t matter. Like T. Moren stated it’s never one play (at end of game in this case). It’s plays during game. Iowa only had 7 turnovers and probably played at least as good if not better defense than IU plus IU let Iowa get to comfortable with 3 ball. A couple plays that come to mind Parrish passed up a 3 ball (Parrish had hot hand) to pass to Berger that resulted in turnover and also threw a pass that led to Iowa steal….Though Parrish had a really good game…Parrish has ability (next year) and probably this year (confidence) to help Holmes take over a game. I think you will see that next year. In this game didn’t get enough from Scalia. Overall eye test, IU Ladies basketball are a better team than Iowa.

Hindsight is useless. Another option in a time out…Before second ft would for Holmes to have thrown ball hard off the rim on second ft to create a helter skelter scramble for the ball as time ran out. Plus it may have caught Iowa off guard. However, hindsight is useless.

Didn’t say anything about a legacy. Just a lot of money especially A.M. for what production was produced….

3 game big ten tournament season and then 6 game March Madness season. Long shot but maybe not that long to see 2 big ten teams in final 4 or in National Championship game. Or otherwise. Is big ten as good as T. Moren has said?

It all comes down to your either good enough or not…and their is usually a little luck or unlucky involved…but overthinking is useless…No need to wish this or that…or be scared…IU Ladies are Champs…26 and 1…and with Grace Berger undefeated.

I have more of a nonsensical answer…and I don’t care when to play S. Carolina. Schedule a game with S.C. tomorrow night before the Iowa game if you want. IU Ladies go 10 and 0 from here on the rest of this season. And as big ten regular season champs IU Ladies have the responsibility to represent IU and the big ten to do their best to start this journey by beating Iowa at Iowa this Sunday. Don’t look ahead… next game only one game at a time. (Maryland is currently playing well) (S.C., IU, Iowa, Maryland, UCONN, Utah etc…more than a couple top 10 teams will get upset by elite 8 and LSU will probably get beat that by many would be called an upset except not me. Don’t be scared and play not to lose but play to win. Go 10 wins and 0 losses. IU Ladies basketball problem solved.

My thought only and nothing to do with seeding …don’t lose another game the rest of season and post season. WIN ALL OF THEM.

No rest for IU Ladies starters vs Iowa on Sunday. Play best to win. Teenagers and Early Twenties. They have several days to rest. (I am not a professional sports fan…but I remember Colts having undefeated season and last game rested starters. Colts lost last game and then lost in playoffs. There are other examples but I say always play to win. I remember B.K. about 40 or so years ago saying…winning big ten championship was more challenging or a bigger accomplishment than winning the March Madness NCAA tournament.

IU Ladies are to win at Iowa, regardless….yes, Turtle win is comfort food tonight.

It equals happy vs not so happy. Currently, there is much happiness. Plus the girls on the team who are not getting to play much realize what it is to be in a top rated situation vs another alternative.

I am aware of her stats. Indian Creek plays somewhat smaller schools. My emphasis is her high quality star upside with F.W….a future star for IU Ladies basketball.
