I don't see how, beyond the brand, those two have the bargaining power to force that. If they kept one of the bigger programs, maybe, but I don't see UNLV paying exorbitant fees just to join a failing conference.

And there's a school in Indianapolis that is one of them. You may have heard of it, I think it has the Indiana University handle to it. A combination of lack of communication with fans and students that games are happening at most of these institutions along with virtually zero television (they're all student or local guys broadcasting games that are streamed either on ESPN+ or services you never heard of) make attending regular season games almost an impossible task. It also doesn't help that sports fans who go to these colleges will probably be rooting for either schools they followed growing up or more successful programs.

So, if I were to bet on this, the 28.5 refers to the margin of victory while the over/under is the number of points scored? I think I'll bet the over on the points scored, as Indiana doesn't have any issues scoring, especially when Ohio State starts playing reserves. But it's the margin of victory that gets me.

IUPUI announced their schedule and it's as clear a "we're going to win 4 games this season" schedule as you can get. Actually is pissing off the Horizon League fans with how many games don't count to the NET ranking or are with teams in the 300s like Elon and Eastern Illinois.

Stanford is the only bargaining chip left out there that a conference can use to lure in Notre Dame, and even that isn't good enough anymore. Reports are saying the ACC may consider nabbing them and Cal for the heck of it, but... I don't know.

Well... we know for sure that they're definitely going to send it out to the West Coast for a few years (probably one or two seasons in LA, either at Staples Center or the Intuit Dome, and one in either Portland or Seattle), but if they add North Carolina/Duke/Other ACC teams, they may consider a geographically centered program. I don't know if Indianapolis will cut it, unfortunately... not that we're bad at hosting, more that we're not longer the center of the league. Luckily, I found the new home of the Big Ten Tournament!

And, apparently, Cal and Stanford are still on the table.
