  1. I think the Big Ten is aiming for Duke and North Carolina, while the SEC wants Clemson, Florida State, and Miami.
  2. Sources: Big Ten has begun preliminary talks to potentially add Oregon, Washington, Cal and Stanford (yahoo.com) These talks are very preliminary and probably vapor, but if Colorado is gone and the Big XII wants to carve up more of the Pac-12, what's not to stop the Big Ten?
  3. Big XII is all "we only need one school", but they really want to grab the rest of the Four Corners schools to make travel affordable out there and create a BYU/Utah rivalry for media deals. They still won't be as lucrative as the Big Ten or the SEC, but they want to secure themselves as the #3 conference.
  4. Especially Tuberville. Like, dude showed he wasn't the brighest bulb as head coach, then he went to Congress.
  5. Let's not forget they're losing their safety net of being in the B1G West.
  6. Sorry but we basically banana peel'd ourselves for 60 minutes. Vacated wins are so stupid. They take away the victories but their opponents still lost. But we are supposed to believe these games never happened.
  7. You know Evanston didn't elect a Democrat for their town mayor until '93? Crazy ****. But I think that's me trying to conflate the town of Evanston (where you gotta be LOADED to live there) with Northwestern University.
  8. They're losing their Kiddie Pool Division advantage after this season, so we'll see how they handle things when it's Ohio State and Michigan in the Big Ten Championship every year.
  9. So, uh, trying to pull a George Costanza?
  10. https://vpur.iu.edu/news-archive/bills/state04-28-23.html So, IUPUI is purposefully keeping things under wraps for now but once they transition to IU Indianapolis next year, expect announcements of a new arena for the basketball team. This is big news for a school that historically never puts any money into sports.
  11. The UIndy opener is interesting to me cuz I was pulling for IUPUI to be that gimme game.
  12. I wonder if the IMPD allows access to records, cuz Huggins must have been more than a handful back in 2010.
  13. Big 12 wanted the Orlando market for TV and the Florida recruits... but mostly the Orlando TV market. Honestly, they really should try and stay in the Mountain West and see what's going to happen next. The Pac 12 is crumbling and the Mountain West could swipe at least Oregon State and Washington State. Those schools don't sound impressive, but they'll make a lot of money and save on travel.
  14. So, it's like this; they give you a set amount of points the teams will score combined, and you bet if they will score more "Over", or less "Under". If it's Iowa, always take the Under.
  15. In non-Kentucky news, San Diego State wants out of the Mountain West, even without a new destination. June gloom? SDSU's future in Mountain West cloudy as ever - The San Diego Union-Tribune (sandiegouniontribune.com)
  16. They're the kinds of people who eat their biscuits and gravy as taking cookies and putting turkey gravy on them.
  17. Allegedly, there was 141 versions to the schedule before they got to the final one. I imagine these were in 140 of them.
  18. That's going to be the challenge. Getting the team to not be it's own worst enemy when we play teams on our own skill level while we aren't playing the three headed beast each year will determine if we go bowling. -Captain Obvious
  19. Best part? Road trip to Los Angeles!!!
  20. Big Ten is getting rid of divisions in 2024, opting for a rotation model for the schedule. If I can describe this in one word for IU, it's "merciful".
  21. They gave us Connor Baezlak. That's how you can channel that hatred.
  22. Man, the one cupcake game on the schedule and it pisses off the IHSAA fans. Meanwhile, I gotta ask, when did Tom Allen give up as a development coach and just go whole hog on the transfer portal?
  23. But, seriously, I know the traditionalists are all "we don't need a mascot wandering around these parts! This is IU!" However, I think it's time. We need a cartoon bison for the social media era.
