I think everyone who thinks we are going to go 11-9, make the NCAA tournament and Woodson will get a 5th year is forgetting several points: 1) Woodson will get out-coached by all the remaining coaches he will coach against 2) Even though Woodson and staff coached hard like their life depended on it, they will revert back to their lazy coaching because that is what they are used to and a leopard doesn’t change their spots 3) Because of their laziness, they won’t prepare or prepare thoroughly against most of the remaining games 4) MW and staff can’t coach There are probably several more but you all get the point. Things will go back to mediocre and MW will either be fired or forced to retire because I am confident all the above will happen

I thought the same thing! Actually, I think that is 1st and only game he and his assistants coached that hard, like something was really riding on that game. I actually seen Calbert talking to a ref during a timeout, I don’t recall ever seeing that either

You are entitled to that and I respect that but it definitely does mine! They tarnished the university and put a major black eye on the basketball program for their own self serving actions

He definitely proved he wanted the status and the perks without putting in the work! He’s going out of here kicking and screaming, while making the University look bad. It’s almost like a vendetta against the university for something he felt like he should have got! Maybe this whole NIL triggered it all! Heck who knows, I watch too many movies, maybe there isn’t a big conspiracy here but there sure as heck have an appearance of one!

I agree with you! I have had the chance in my life to watch them both as players and the left a good legacy as players but that all got shot to heck because of what has transpired over the last 4 years! Now their legacy will be about bringing the entire basketball program to its knees for their own self serving interests.

Only MW would think it’s ridiculous! We all know the outside noise is justified!

I think many of are very apprehensive about the administration making the right decision, primarily having too many cooks in the kitchen!

I think we all on this thread want him gone! I wanted him gone the day before yesterday but here we are. He has made a laughing stock of our basketball program and the university, but I also blame the university too and yet here we are! The university will drag this out because they think it is bad optic but they will allow this to drag until things get much worse! Honestly, they pretty much stated what they are all about when they didn’t do anything last year, but he did his job and the called out fans for not being true fans which was probably why the fans did what they did at the Illinois game and yet here we are! FIRE MIKE WOODSON IMMEDIATELY!!!

He is too stubborn to do that. This is the same delusional coach that said he did his job last year and he thinks they are playing good basketball now, even after two back to back 25 point loses. He has a huge ego and he isn’t going to do that because in his delusional mind, he thinks he can still turn it around

Yes, exactly! That would be a very very bad look for a home game, especially when we are trying to get new coach and they don’t want whoever that could be, to see that, that is very bad optics! MW has made his bed and now he needs to lie in it!

This reminds me of one of when I would give someone their performance review, and if they didn’t change I would have to take certain measures. They bust their humps, pun intended, for about a few weeks or month but then they revert back to their old ways. A leopard can’t change his/her spots, they always revert back to their old habits! Yes, way too little and way too late!

Nope! After what happened in those 2 blowouts and the fans booing and chanting “Fire Woodson”, there ain’t no recovering from that! I agree with others, that win didn’t move the needle! It was two bad teams trying not to lose, and one of them had to win.

I am glad we won! Team played hard throughout and MW actually was coaching and showed some emotion, energy and enthusiasm! He should have been coaching like this 3 years ago, but to late now

I can’t either, I was just saying! Both teams were equally bad but that is the most coaching, energy and enthusiasm Woodson has had in almost 4 years of coach coaching. It was actually good to see but to little and to late!
