My only question on Jerry’s update is are the assistants aware that they are essentially on 1-year deals unless they have a miraculous run to the Final Four? As an assistant, that wouldn’t sit well with me, if true.

Me being bummed about a win speaks more to my lack of trust in the BOT than anything else. I don’t want to root against IU, but I can’t see another avenue to convince the incompetent decision makers.

Personally, I don’t get the allure of Louisville basketball right now. You could compare it to IU basketball after the first year under Crean where we had one returning walk-on (Kyle Taber I believe). At least Crean showed a semblance of coaching unlike Kenny Payne. Getting multiple 5 stars after that debacle of a year is unfathomable and points to either unlimited money promised or very poor advice from so-called mentors/agents.

Appears to be Tennessee for Knecht. I have zero clue how they are going to make their scholarship numbers work. Amazes me that Barnes was able to sell that playing time to two good transfers.

The reason is looks bleak and why there is so much negativity is the staff has seemingly put a lot of their eggs in the Ledlum basket without spreading it around to other baskets. Now it appears they must wait for the chickens to lay more eggs. We just hope that there are quality baskets to lay the eggs in after the chickens replenish. Otherwise, we are going to see some cracked and/or rotten eggs next year. This was a terrible post but oh well.
