Not to rain on the flight tracking parade (I agree the timing of a Bloomington to Hanscom flight is odd), but if Dolson were going to charter a jet to Boston, wouldn't he have had it pick him up in Indy, rather than race back to Btown for a 4:40 flight?

One person here would be ecstatic with Turgeon.
-
I did think it was interesting he was the heavy betting favorite in the odds released today.
-
-
In that case, I'm thinking it's safe to say they eliminated Turgeon...
-
You're about 3 hours behind schedule, DMV...
-
@Chris007 You mentioned Dolson wanting this done by the 17th for portal purposes. Do you think the timeline changes if we make the NCAAs? I would be surprised to see us announce a new coach a couple days before a first round match up. But I could be wrong. I'm assuming that if it's Brad, we'll hear within a couple days of being eliminated. If therels no announcement on Brad within 72 hours of the season ending, then we're probably hiring someone else.

McCasland does seem to be flying under the radar quite a bit in this one...
-
We appreciate you Chris. Hope my posting contervailing thoughts isn't taken as anything other than engaging in the dialogue. The vast majority here would rather have people post what they hear than not post at all. Haters are going to hate no matter what.

Yeah, it seems like if there are either NDAs in place then any info is unreliable. But I doubt that they are using NDAs. I'd expect Dolson is just sharing info on a need to know basis among people he trusts.

Interesting. I agree that they might be vetting other fallback candidates. I just meant specifically Beard as a guy I doubt they'd be vetting, as he seems like a last resort fallback. But I could be wrong!

Forget flight tracking, someone start combing seven figure Center Grove properties that have been sold in the last couple months! In all seriousness, if there was a verbal agreement in place, I think it's reasonable they'd wait to sign a contract until they're ready to announce, for FOIA purposes. That having been said, I don't think we'd be going to the trouble of reportedly vetting guys like Chris Beard if we had a verbal agreement in place with Brad. So who knows...

1:30PM - DMV drops by to stoke the Turge rumors once again

I still think it's someone off the radar. McCasland, Few, Golden, etc.
-
Niko Medved would be a Turgeon or Brownell level hire in my opinion. Only 2 NCAA appearances in 11 years of coaching, never advancing beyond the first round. Has never won a conference title in 7 years at Colorado State. Went 15-18 just a couple years ago. If Medved is the best you can do, then it may be time to seriously consider shifting resources to the FB and WBB teams.

You literally did just that in the post I was responding to.
-
Well, that and they convinced a good chunk of a B1G fan base they were the next big thing. Same with Archie, Pitino Jr., Pat Chambers, Mike Rice, etc. The list goes on and on. And everyone of those fan bases had someone like you convinced they were smart enough to determine what separated their guy from the rest of the failed line of mid-major flame outs.

Or the next Tim Miles or John Groce... Edit: And there are, by far, many more examples of the latter two than Self and Wright.
-
Thanks. Last week you said you were hearing that there was mutual interest with Drew and Otz. Then Goodman said both were no's yesterday. Are you hearing the same now?
-
I'm ready for this search to be over.
-
Thanks for this. In particular, I think the points about McCollum are insightful.
-
I think this search will say a lot about whether Nebraska or Alabama is the better analogy. Do we get our Nick Saban, or our Mike Riley?
-
I think you'd have to surround McCollum with at least one elite recruiter, just to get him up to speed on that front.
-
The vetting must have turned sour quickly!
