I agree with this...I think the biggest difference on shooting is its going to be a team effort. It won't just be counting on a Lamar to make 5-6 threes. This years roster I think you will have several guys make 2-3 a game on decent efficiency...and I think we may have much more wide open looks because we have several players that can attack the basket and draw help, where last year we didn't have that much at all. Outside of rebounding I thought the biggest weakness of last years group was having a G who could consistently beat his man and force the D to either help or score at the basket. When Conernway was focused, for the couple of games that happened, we were a different team.

I watched some of the Furman game...very athletic and can do some things for sure. I thought he got very loose with the ball at times, but definitely would be a nice addition.

Headed down to WRV tonight for semifinals...My hometown Eels have a tall task of trying to slow down Blake Neill from Bloomfield...they need a good start and then honestly pull a Bloomfield of the past and slow it down. First game of the night is Colverdale who has the 6'10" Kiteka kid against Shakamak who underachieved this season but I think could pull off the upset. Sectional time is always fun, that's for sure!

Oh no doubt he’s a good coach…but you’d think getting in trouble at 3 different schools might be enough to not want him to work with high school kids….just my opinion

The kids should be at WRV, but old Joey got him to come….they also have a kid who was Owen Valleys best player from last year….still the same old Joey, let’s hope he doesn’t get in trouble for the 4th time…amazes me that a school corporation would hire him

Yes this was the case…a board members son wasn’t getting to play as much as he thought he should…board took a vote and forced him out by a 4-3 vote….

I think some of us have just been so conditioned to having not one but two bigs in the Woodson system we forget that you don’t have to have a 7 footer plodding down the court. Think Houston, the Villanova championship teams, etc…have a 6’9” guy who is athletic and make your team high energy. It’s a shift in philosophy from what we are used to, but the bigs lineup hasn’t worked. I’m all game for a new perspective

I am going to guess he doesn't end up here either, but you have to ask yourself too if he was so ball dominant our of necessity at USC, or was the coach wanting the ball in his hands, etc....it may be how he was coached to play. Just a thought.

I hope they are right. This guy is a near perfect fit. He has pretty good hands, great screen and roll player (which fits perfectly when the defense is worried about our shooters), doesn't need the ball in his hand other than to finish, good rebounder, shot blocker, and good athlete....
