Checks all the boxes? Has never coached at the college level. Has never recruited before. Is old. Proven loser at the NBA level. What box does he check? That he's an NBA guy? That's worked wonders for Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, St John's, Memphis, Georgetown, etc.

Of course. But Beilein and Matta are way to high of a risk. Beilein looks and sounds 10 years older than he is and he's 68. Plus he's never won quickly. It would take several years if ever at all.

There's no way it's Beilein or Matta. Both could easily be the next Coach Hep although thankfully their issues aren't life threatening.

Mack is a lot like Archie imo. Better personality but very similar coaching ability.

Has to be Bennett unless Brad or Billy had vast change of heart. Not an IU guy and many if not most would hate Matta and especially Beilein.

To be fair, there were smoke screens galore the last couple hires. We were all convinced Kruger was the guy at one point. The Janitor was saying 4 years ago that it was Alford even though he was never considered. If Dolson is at least somewhat intelligent he's keeping things very close to the vest and putting out many smoke screens. We have no reason not to trust him at this point. So everyone should. Now if he actually does hire Woodson, Alford, Beilein, etc then all hell will break lose. Until then stay calm.

Bingo. If say it came down to Beard or Drew and you think both are toss ups on paper but one is an IU guy. Then you hire the IU guy. But under no other circumstance does that make sense. The IU guys aren't qualified.

This has to be a smoke screen. There has been a lot of smoke screens the last few coaching searches. I'm getting the feeling that Dolson is closing in on his guy. Hopefully there's an announcement next week.

Dolson isn't going to hire Woodson. If it's an IU guy Alford is a 100x better choice.
