I wondered and just looked up where Romeo Langford is playing. He played for a French club BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque in 2024. Not sure where he is now. His career would've been whole lot different if he could shoot 3s.

Curry Hicks Sage hinted at Stevens backing out on Sunday night

I'm really hoping we won't have to look for another one for the next 15-20 years, but in case we have to, I wish our AD either doesn't call Stevens at all or gives him a definite deadline to give IU a final answer. This guy is just not meant for IU coaching job. -
For your off-season viewing pleasure

Double D sounds a bit erotic. I like triple D better.

Put your poster name on the line! Way to early devries reaction!

I wanted McCollum more than DeVries, but well DeVries is definitely a winner. I think he's going to build culture here and produce consistent teams year in and year out. In all honesty, I didn't see any of WV games, so I really can't say anything at this point, but I like to trust Dolson's decision. Media guys say DeVries' offensive style is 4 out and 1 in, and his team shoots a lot of threes, so it's more of a modern style that we haven't seen in the last 8 seasons. Should be interesting to see! -
OMG...WTF!! The cigar smoking coach didn't know or care about high school recruits, and his best player didn't even know the school name after 3 fuxxxx years!!! Malik...get out of here before the door hits you.

This board is SO dynamic!!
-
Well...I guess the plan is to win $hit load of games, and that will get everyone on board eventually. We expected Woody would at least unite the fanbase if not winning a lot of games, but he didn't even know Dane Fife was an IU guy.
-
Hey you never know Ostrom has been reprogrammed by Coach DeVries.
-
Guess Woodson thought coaching at IU was all about taking daily naps, wine and dine, and smoking cigars. All too easy until fans and big time boosters were fed up with him.
-
We all thought Jeff Goodman was a d-bag and full of it, but hey he got it right this time. Time to get behind the new coach and cheer for him and his team like crazy. That's what fanatics are.
-
Until someone says the mystery candidate is indeed Brad Stevens. The board will be a choo-choo train again.
-
You want something a little more spectacular? It could be either Crean or McCaffrey. .001% chance is still a chance, right?
-
As soon as I saw pack line, I lost my appetite.
-
Now that's gonna be fun!! I would love to see that.

One guy said "The offseason is more exciting than the actual season!" Isn't that true for us too?
-
The best part of that movie!!!

Thanks for your comment! I know a lot of us talked about Brad Stevens for quite a while, so if Collins would be the next coach, many fans would be disappointed, but I wouldn't be. Collins knows how to navigate Big 10, and with much better talents, I think he'd do very well here.
-
I agree with you. Obviously, Chris Collins is not a sexy choice, but considering the level of talent he's been forced to work with, there are a few positive things. (1) He is a pretty good motivator (2) His teams play hard nosed defense because that's pretty much the only way he can win (3) From offensive standpoint, Collins seems to utilize his players' talents well and he can tweak based on what he's got. With that said, it's kind of a mystery why he hasn't attracted job offers.

I haven't seen Wade's teams, but is Wade that good?
-
Of course I could be dead wrong, but if we don't hear anything in the next few days, Brad Stevens was pretty much never a candidate. Woodson announcement was out on 2/8, so probably Dolson started his due diligence at least a month before that. My guess is he's been communicated with all viable candidates through the front and the back channels. I would venture to guess Dolson already has his guy.

My question is...why would any good coach want the Iowa job in the NIL era unless the coach doesn't have another decent offer on his plate? From recruiting standpoint, Iowa is not a good place, and they don't offer a good NIL budget to compete against top teams in the BIG. To me, it seems like winning big at Iowa is getting harder. If McCollum takes the Iowa gig, he must be supremely confident about his coaching ability.
-
Nobody knows but Jesus...and Scott.
-
Oh so Woody was doing so well in the NBA, right? But he felt obligated to take the IU gig to save the program, and it wasn't for the money, right?

Yeah our resume speaks for itself. We're out.
